Manager - Tax – Financial Services

Position Profile

Weaver is looking for talented tax managers to join our growing firm! Our clients range from large, national-level organizations to smaller local entities and everything in between.

A tax manager works closely with firm leadership and plays a key role in team development and firm administration activities, including training and mentoring less-experienced team members. The ideal candidate is a CPA with 7+ years of experience in federal tax compliance, planning, and consulting at a public accounting firm.

To be successful in this role, the following qualifications are required:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
• CPA /EA with 7+ years of experience in federal tax compliance, planning and

consulting at a public accounting firm with a focus on real estate industries, including Forms 1065, Form 1120S, Form 1120

• Proven experience in people management and team development, including

coaching and mentoring staff, resource planning and scheduling, and effective communication and collaboration with both U.S. and India-based teams.

Additionally, the following qualifications are preferred

• Master’s degree in accounting or related field
• Proven ability to manage, mentor and develop staff
• Strong relationship management and practice development skills
• Ability to attract and service new clients and expand services to existing

clients

• This role may require additional working hours during peak business periods

and busy seasons, based on business needs and client deliverables.
