- Job Summary
- We are currently seeking a Tax Senior - Financial Services to join our team in
- any of the following office locations New York, NY; Park Ridge, NJ. This role
- offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic and growing firm.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to
- Running client engagements from start to finish, which includes planning,
executing, directing, and completing tax projects and managing to budget
- Supervising, training, and mentoring associates and interns on tax projects
and assessing performance of staff for engagement reviews; performing
in-charge role as needed
- Reviewing tax returns done by staff and making recommendations on return
preparation regarding accuracy and tax savings opportunities; gain increasing
responsibility in review process
- Preparing tax returns for more complex individual, trust, partnership,
corporate, and foreign tax clients
- Researching and consulting on various tax matters; utilizing tax-related
software to prepare and process returns and research tax matters
- Responding to inquiries from the IRS and other tax authorities
- Recommending new tax strategies and determining profitability of potential
acquisitions and mergers
- Identifying areas of tax reductions and savings regularly
- Traveling to clients occasionally
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required; Master’s degree in accounting,
taxation, or equivalent
- Minimum of 2+ years of progressive tax return preparation and compliance
experience
- CPA license or in process of obtaining CPA license
- Proficient with a computer software packages and platforms including
Microsoft Office Suite, Tax software, ProSystems Engagement and CCH Axcess
- Strong tax accounting skills with proficiency in US GAAP, tax compliance,
corporate consolidated returns, consolidated federal tax returns, partnership
returns, and combined state tax returns
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, initiative, and leadership skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to meet or exceed time constraints and goals
- Ability to work in a team environment, supervise staff and lead projects
- Ability to work additional hours as needed
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
- Maintains a high level of professionalism and consistently demonstrates
respect for others

Benefits Package: Competitive base compensation with eligibility for a raise and
bonus each June or December based on performance metrics and level. Medical,

CPA Incentive: Financial assistance toward the achievement of the CPA
certification which includes the cost of the CPA study materials, CPA exam
registration and sitting fees for all 4 parts (up to 2 x per part), plus the CPA
application and licensing fees. Paid study time during work hours, additional
paid time off to take your scheduled exam and a bonus paid upon passing the CPA
exam.

Compensation for this role is determined based on a combination of factors,
including but not limited to your relevant experience, skills, certifications,
and geographic location. We strive to offer competitive, equitable pay, that
reflects the value each team member brings to the organization. In addition to
base salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes
performance-based incentives, wellness and retirement programs, and
opportunities for continuous professional development.
Salary ranges are provided to offer transparency and may vary depending on final
candidate qualifications and local market conditions. Please find compensation
information below for candidates residing in the following market(s):
New York ranges are from $80,000 – $110,000
