The Tax Accountant for Breeze Airways is a highly motivated and detail-oriented member of the finance team that plays a vital role in ensuring tax compliance, accurate forecasts and planning, and identifying opportunities for process improvement.

They will collaborate across departments to support various tax functions, including income tax, excise tax, sales and use tax, tax provision preparation, and international tax matters related to the airline industry. The Tax Analyst will need to have a solid understanding of the business model, a process-oriented mindset and the ability to communicate well with senior management.

what you'll do

Prepare and review tax accruals, forecasts and budgets Prepare quarterly/annual returns, estimated payments and other required filings related to income, property and indirect taxes Assist with the preparation of the income tax provision according to ASC 740 Work with external auditors and tax authorities during audits and inquiries.

Qualifications

4-year degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field from an accredited university 1-3 years of

###experience### in tax, accounting, or finance In depth understanding of tax compliance and research Preferred

Qualifications

Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license and/or Master’s degree

###Experience### in the aviation industry, travel industry, or with an airline Indirect tax

experience

Excellent organizational and time-management

skills

Practices extreme ownership and transparency Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite ERP experience, preferably Oracle Corptax Software a plus
