- The Dalio Family Office (DFO) supports Barbara and Ray Dalio and their family in
- their ventures, investments, and philanthropic efforts under Dalio
- Philanthropies, which includes OceanX, Dalio Education, Endless Network, and the
- Beijing Dalio Foundation. The core of the DFO’s culture is built around

- giving back. The office is headquartered in Westport, CT with regional offices
- in New York City, Singapore, and Abu Dhabi.
Position Summary
- The Tax Department oversees tax compliance for the clients of the family office.
- This includes a wide array of areas, including investment and business entities
- as well as individual, philanthropic and trust reporting. The Tax Department
- also plays a key role working with other Departments at the DFO in planning and
- implementing new strategies and structures for our clients. The Senior Tax
- Manager will be responsible for sophisticated tax compliance and related
- planning for the DFO, its clients, and related entities.
- Day-to-day responsibilities would include a combination of the following:
- Ownership of overall tax compliance processes for the assigned entities,
including developing and managing prioritized tax planning activities and
supervising external and internal resources.
- Resolve complex technical tax issues, consult with experts, prepare
memorandums, and communicate research findings to senior management in a
synthesized manner.
- Review tax returns and the related workpapers for trusts, individual,
philanthropic entities, operating businesses, and investment entities
prepared by our third-party service providers.
- Manage relationships with external advisors including managing the budget,
billings, and engagement letters
- Liaise with the lawyers, trustees, accountants, real estate brokers and other
external advisors affecting family-directed strategies and initiatives.
- Act as an in-house tax resource for other departments.
- Lead or participate in other cross-functional projects providing leadership
toward additional value-added activities and supporting operational and
departmental excellence, while fostering teamwork between all functions.
- Manage tax audits and responses to taxing authority inquiries and notices.

Qualifications
- 12+ years of recent experience with tax compliance, related research, and
planning for high-net-worth individuals, flow-through entities, and trusts
within a public accounting firm, family office, or wealth management tax
department.
- 5+ years of managerial experience with oversight of tax compliance processes,
including resource allocation and budgeting.
- Bachelors or master’s degree in accounting or related field.
- CPA and/or JD preferred.
Compensation
- Compensation for the role includes a competitive salary in the range from
- $175,000 -$305,000 (inclusive of a merit-based bonus, dependent on years of
- experience, level of education obtained, as well as applicable skillset) and an
- excellent benefits package, including paid time off ranging from 15 to 25 days
- based on years of service, paid sick and safe leave, dental, vision, life and
- disability insurance, paid parental time off, birth mother recovery pay, sick
- family member pay, parental ramp back up program, gym reimbursement and generous
- employer match for 401k.
