We’re looking for a Senior Manager, Corporate Tax Strategy to join us in

Chelsea, London.

  • We are seeking a highly skilled Tax professional to join our in-house Tax

Advisory Corporate team. This role encompasses UK and international tax

issues, including cross-border planning, structuring and compliance.

  • You will have the opportunity to work in a diverse team supporting the Tax

Directors and coaching more junior members, to deliver high quality advice to

the Liberty Global group companies and to senior management.

  • Our business explores ventures across different sectors, ranging from

traditional TMT to Digital Infrastructure, Content and AI.

What will you be doing?

Optimize LG’s consolidated UK tax position

  • Provide technical advice on complex UK matters (e.g Leases, CFC, CIR, SBCE

etc) and be responsible for ensuring Tax Technical Memos are prepared for

quarterly reporting purposes.

  • Contribute to the management of the UK tax position including safeguarding

CFC and Hybrid mismatches exposures in the UK, mitigating FX tax exposures

from I/C loans, and reviewing the IMOC / WHT / CIR / DPT supporting

documentation preparation and assessments, as allocated to your portfolio.

  • Cash tax Forecasting
  • Project manage the tax forecasting across the various LG Group entities and

Operating Companies’ submissions and liase with Capital Allocation /

Treasury / Transfer Pricing teams on key tax inputs on each update cycle.

  • Lead the preparation of the UK tax forecasting and the relevant assumptions

to aid UK scenario planning.

Provide tax technical advice across a wide range of projects spanning multiple

jurisdictions

  • Work on multiple projects analysed internally and support Finance & M&A teams

with tax modelling, structuring and key tax issues during project evaluation.

  • Prepare and oversee (in different projects) tax due diligence reports and

identify tax risks and opportunities.

  • Support the business across all stages of the transaction lifecycle and

provide clear tax recommendations to the key stakeholders of the acquiring

group company.

  • Build strong relationship with Treasury, Legal, Accounting and M&A teams s

through innovative, smart and value driven solutions which are flexible and

sustainable.

  • Research & review complex tax concepts and provide key input to relevant

stakeholders in the context of various business initiatives.

  • Tax Modelling in the context of projects and assessment of any interaction

with current and future tax positions per jurisdiction and with Pillar 2.

Transfer Pricing

  • Work with advisors to update benchmark studies etc and ensure current TP

models remain fit for purpose.

  • Review Local and Masterfile prepared by Liberty Blume shared service centre
  • Take strategic lead on TP projects such as (B)APAs and impact from M&A work.
  • Support training and development of junior team members.

We tend to look for people with

  • A chartered accountancy qualification including CIMA, ACA and/or a tax

qualification (latter preferred)

  • Experience working in Big 4 or top 10 as a Senior Manager or an experienced

Manager, or in a similar environment

  • Deep understanding of UK and global tax principles and awareness of recent

updates (OECD, EU, US and other jurisdictions)

  • A desire to work in a fast-paced environment and to take responsibility and

ownership of allocated work

  • Varied experience giving rise to a proven career development path to be the

next tax leads at Liberty Global or the Federation (Operating Companies).

  • An agile individual with the ability to work independently and to drive a

project forward as a self-starter
