Manager, Commodity Tax Reporting to Senior Director, Commodity Taxes The Manager, Commodity Tax will be responsible for providing expert commodity tax (GST/HST/QST and PST) advice as a subject matter expert to Choice Properties and other associated legal entities to keep it compliant with all commodity tax legislation and regulations. Responsible to lead the process, as appropriate, by ensuring that the commodity tax reporting/ financial systems, procedures, controls and policies are appropriate and functioning as intended so that timely, accurate and reliable information is produced for reporting to taxing authorities.

What You'll Do: Lead indirect tax compliance for Choice Properties and associated entities by reviewing and overseeing the preparation of GST/HST and QST returns, ensuring accurate and timely filing in accordance with Canadian sales tax legislation. Provide sales tax advisory support on a variety of real estate transactions, including analysis of GST/HST/QST implications and application of relevant tax elections (e.

g. , joint venture elections, section 167 elections), Manage tax authority audits (e. g.

, CRA and provincial authorities) as the primary point of contact, including coordinating information requests, preparing documentation, and developing effective audit response strategies. Support broader Loblaw group entities on an as-needed basis by providing technical guidance on indirect tax matters and assisting with compliance or audit-related inquiries. Review accounting systems and processes to ensure indirect taxes are correctly captured, recorded, and reported, and implement process improvements to strengthen sales tax controls and reporting accuracy.

Collaborate with finance, legal, and operational teams to identify tax risks and opportunities, ensuring indirect tax considerations are appropriately reflected in business decisions and transactions.

###experience### in commodity tax, preferably within a real estate environment University degree in Business or Accounting, with CPA designation (completed or in progress) Strong knowledge of accounting principles and procedures related to commodity tax

###Experience### working with financial systems (JD Edwards, SAP), including extracting, analyzing, and reporting data; advanced MS Excel
