About the role

  • As a Tax Manager - ANZ, you will play a pivotal role in coordinating all aspects
  • of tax compliance and planning activities. This position is critical in ensuring
  • adherence to Australian tax laws, managing tax risks, and supporting strategic
  • business decisions through effective tax planning. You will work directly with
  • the Associate Tax Director - AsiaPac, and closely with two CFOs, the Group Tax
  • Team, the regional tax lead, and external advisors to manage both direct and
  • indirect tax obligations.
  • This role is well‑suited for an experienced and proactive tax professional who
  • can navigate sophisticated tax landscapes, foster a collaborative working
  • environment, and drive continuous improvement through the application of their
  • technical expertise.
  • Role responsibilities
  • Lead tax compliance and reporting, ensuring timely and accurate preparation,

management and lodgement of all tax returns and filings

  • Act as the primary liaison with external tax advisors, the ATO and internal

finance teams, overseeing outsourced tax work and managing tax audits,

reviews and regulatory interactions.

  • Provide tax advisory support for business transactions, restructures,

acquisitions, entity rationalisation, cross-boarder activities, transfer

pricing and intercompany matters

  • Support two growing businesses by managing ad-hoc tax requests and

contributing to strategic tax projects across the organisation

  • Maintain strong tax governance, ensuring accurate records, effective risk

management frameworks and continuous process improvement in collaboration

with CFOs, the Group Tax Team and other relevant partners

  • Monitor tax law changes and assess business impacts, maintaining up-to-date

technical knowledge

About you

As a skilled Tax Manager, you will have a minimum of 5 years of experience

working in corporate tax compliance, reporting and tax advisory. You will thrive

in a dynamic environment and be able to utilise their skills to meet business

needs.

The ideal candidate will have

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or law, CA or CPA qualified
  • Exposure in a multinational or complex corporate structure
  • Exposure to international tax and transfer pricing
  • Experience with tax reporting under IFRS / local GAAP
  • Experience with tax software – preferably OneSource
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills – especially Excel
  • Excellent analytical, organisational, and written & verbal communication

  • Skill in combining creative and logical approaches to problem-solving
  • Proven ability to effectively coordinate, prioritise and balance multiple

projects while adhering to tight timeframes
