- Purpose of the role
- This role sits within the Group’s Central Tax Team, You will be reporting to the
- Group’s Head
- of Tax and Treasury with responsibility for ensuring the Group is meetings its
- compliance
- obligations and leading the year end reporting process for tax. Additionally you
- will be acting
- as the tax partner for the Europe and Iberia region, helping the regional teams
- onboard new
- schools and assisting them on tax advisory matters relating to their businesses
- across all
- taxes. As the Group continues to grow there is the possibility for the role to
- develop and grow
- with the successful candidate’s interests.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for the preparation of the Group’s consolidated tax reporting for
inclusions in the Group’s IFRS consolidated financial statements, working
alongside
the regional and central finance teams to understand local tax positions and
managing
external relationship with Group auditors.
- Responsible for the ensuring the Group’s Pillar 2 compliance is met with main
filing in
the UK and ensuring overseas returns are made where required.
International Schools Partnership - Confidential Document• Responsible for the
preparation of the Group’s Country by Country Report and
monitoring the Group’s notification requirement across the world.
- Responsible for the review of UK Corporate Tax returns for all UK companies
working
with our advisors.
- Manage the Global Outsourced Compliance contract with our advisors for the
group
which will involve attending monthly review meetings to understand the position
across the group and escalating matters as necessary
- Maintenance of the Group’s Tax Risk Register.
- Plan and implement the processes and reporting required for UK Senior
Accounting
Officer
- Work with regional finance teams within Europe and Iberia to onboard new
acquisitions for tax purposes including tracking risks identified in due
diligence and
preparing acquisition accounting for tax
- Working with the regional finance teams in Europe and Iberia across all taxes
to ensure
the tax aspects of business operations are fully understood and controlled
appropriately. This might include restructuring projects, new country entry,
implementation of transfer pricing policies, cash repatriation, and tax
authority audits
- Assist with the review of the quarterly UK VAT return
- Assist with the preparation and review of annual PSA reporting
- Preparation of tax notes included in the UK’s solus financial statements which
are
prepared by the UK finance team
- Work with the wider team on other projects across the Group, for example
global
mobility, cash repatriation
Skills, Qualifications and Experience
- ACA or ATT qualified
- A minimum of 5 year’s experience
- Excellent English speaking and writing skills
