  • Assist with additional corporate tax requirements such as uncertain tax

positions and emerging regulations.

VAT & Indirect Tax

  • Support VAT compliance activities, including VAT returns, audits and HMRC

  • Provide VAT guidance on transactions, routes to market and new business

activities.

  • Identify VAT risks and opportunities, escalating matters as appropriate.

Advisory, Risk & Projects

  • Provide tax input on transactions, restructurings, integrations and

operational changes.

  • Proactively identify tax risks and opportunities by developing a strong

understanding of the business.

  • Support internal and external audits and tax‑related projects.

Reporting, Controls & Process Improvement

  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of tax data in line with internal controls

and deadlines.

  • Coordinate with financial accounting teams on tax balances and disclosures.
  • Support transfer pricing documentation and internal tax reporting (e.g.

quarter‑end and year‑end).

  • Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement, automation and

efficiency, including use of systems and AI‑enabled tools.

Skills, Knowledge & Experience

Essential

  • Qualified or part‑qualified accountant/tax professional (ACA, ACCA, CTA, ATT

or equivalent).

  • Good grounding in UK corporate tax, with some exposure to VAT.
  • Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate technical tax matters clearly to non‑tax stakeholders.
  • Proactive mindset with a willingness to learn and adapt in a commercial,

in‑house environment.

Desirable

  • Experience preparing corporate tax computations and returns.
  • Exposure to tax accounting, deferred tax or VAT compliance.
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g. SAP) and advanced Excel reporting.
  • Familiarity with tax compliance or research tools (e.g. ONESOURCE / NextGen).

What We’re Looking For

  • A collaborative team player who works well with finance and wider business

teams.

  • Process‑focused, organised and able to manage competing deadlines.
  • Curious, commercially aware and open to innovation, including AI and

automation.

  • Professional, reliable and committed to high standards.

Development Opportunities

  • Broad exposure across UK corporate tax, VAT and in‑house tax operations.
  • Opportunities to develop advisory skills and work on business‑critical

  • Structured technical training and ongoing professional development.
  • Experience within a large, complex multinational organisation with a global
