Your Opportunity
BDO Canada is seeking a high-impact Data & Analytics Lead to support our Tax
Transformation agenda. This role sits at the intersection of data, process, and
technology, helping modernize how our Tax practice leverages data to drive
efficiency, insight, and growth.
This role is a net new role and the successful candidate will play a key role in
building the data foundation for a more digital, AI-enabled Tax function,
supporting both day-to-day operations and longer-term transformation
initiatives.
Your Opportunity
As part of the Tax Transformation team, you will
- Build and strengthen the Tax data foundation
- Assess and rationalize existing data sources, models, and reporting assets
- Establish scalable, governed data structures aligned to enterprise
platforms (e.g., Azure, Databricks, Data Lake)
- Deliver analytics and insights
- Design and develop dashboards, reporting, and self-service analytics (e.g.,
Power BI)
- Translate data into clear, actionable insights to support decision-making
- Enable process standardization and workflow improvement
- Partner with stakeholders to understand current processes and data flows
- Identify opportunities to simplify, standardize, and automate
- Support AI and automation initiatives
- Prepare and structure data to enable AI-driven use cases and intelligent
workflows
- Support pilots and implementation of new tools and capabilities
- Act as a bridge between business and technology
- Translate business needs into data and technical requirements
- Collaborate across Tax, Data & Analytics, and Innovation & Change teams

Your Experience
- 5+ years in data analytics, data engineering, or business analytics roles
- Experience working with:
- Data platforms (e.g., Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Data Lake)
- Querying and transformation (e.g., SQL, Python)
- Visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)
- Strong understanding of data modeling, ETL/ELT, and data quality
- Proven ability to translate business problems into data-driven solutions
- Experience in process improvement, workflow design, or automation is an asset
- Exposure to AI or advanced analytics is a plus

The expected range of compensation for this role is: $92,000 to $138,000.
