Design AI-powered experiences that transform tax and accounting workflows.

About the Role

  • As a Senior CX/UX Designer, your mission is to create user-facing experiences
  • that incorporate AI, machine learning, and automation into tax and accounting
  • workflows, with a primary focus on an AI-powered tax research and guidance
  • experience. You will design solutions that help tax professionals ask better
  • questions, find trusted answers faster, and confidently interpret complex and
  • evolving tax regulations.
  • This includes rapidly moving from hypothesis to validated customer journeys by
  • creating multi modal prototypes and simulations, using lightweight coding
  • concepts and AI assisted development to explore interactions and accelerate
  • design to delivery collaboration with engineering partners.
  • You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver intuitive,
  • compliant, and scalable agentic experiences that support tax research,
  • contextual guidance, and in-the-moment decision making.

Hybrid: Eight days a month we come together in the closest office (CT/ET time

zone) within 50 miles to experience the value of connecting with colleagues. You

will report to the Lead CX/UX Designer and work under the leadership of the

Required Job Qualifications (2yr+ minimum in role plus 1yr+ (AI Innovation)

  • Prototyping: Strong ability to create high-fidelity interactive prototypes.
  • Proven experience designing AI-powered user experiences for enterprise

applications.

  • Familiarity with agentic workflows, automation principles, ML concepts, and

systems design.

  • Expertise in enterprise UX for regulated domains, with tax planning,

compliance, or accounting experience preferred.

  • Strong understanding of data privacy, compliance, and ethical AI.
  • Wireframing: Advanced skills in creating detailed and user-centered

wireframes and user flows.

  • User Research: Proficiency in planning, conducting, and analyzing

comprehensive user research studies.

  • Working knowledge of front-end development concepts such as HTML, CSS, and

component-based systems, and experience using AI-assisted tools to prototype

interactions and accelerate iteration.

  • Usability Testing: Expertise in leading usability tests and deriving

impactful design insights.

  • Advanced prototyping and design system integration skills.
  • Experience facilitating design thinking workshops and JTBD mapping.
  • Collaboration: Excellent communication and teamwork skills to align

cross-functional efforts.

  • Presentation: Advanced skills in presenting design rationale and user

research findings.

  • Accessibility: Competence in designing accessible user experiences according

to standards.

Responsibilities

  • Avg. 1-4 trips per year | per business demand
  • Lead the design of user-facing agentic workflows for tax and accounting

professionals, including AI-driven tax planning, scenario analysis, and

projection-based experiences, and deliver high-fidelity prototypes for

complex projects such as predictive UX and conversational interfaces

  • Collaborate with research partners to plan and conduct comprehensive user

research studies and usability tests focused on planning, what-if analysis,

and decision confidence.

  • Create tax and accounting solutions tailored for compliance-heavy

environments in North America, with an understanding of planning

considerations across filing status, income, deductions, and future events.

  • Synthesize research findings into actionable design recommendations.
  • Develop and uphold design systems and ensure consistency across products.
  • Mentor junior team members and provide constructive feedback on their work.
  • Drive collaboration with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders

as part of the empowered product team to align design goals with business

objectives and bring designs to life.

  • Drive the iterative design process based on user feedback and usability

testing.

  • Stay up to date with the latest UX design trends and technologies.
  • Present and defend design decisions based on user research and best

practices.

  • Ensure adherence to financial data privacy, security, and WCAG accessibility

standards.

Compensation

  • $85,600.00 - $149,400.00 USD
  • This role is eligible for Bonus.
  • Compensation range listed is based on primary location of the position.  Actual
  • base salary offer is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not
