THE JOB: Manager – State and Local Tax (SALT) & Indirect Tax Reporting We are seeking a driven and detail-oriented tax professional to join our team as Manager of State and Local Tax (SALT) and Indirect Tax Reporting. In this role, you will partner closely with the Vice President of Tax to lead the Company’s state and local income tax compliance efforts, while also collaborating with the Director of Tax on tax research and controversy matters.

THE DAY-TO-DAY: Partners with the Vice President-Tax to manage the state and local income tax compliance calendar and all recurring and non-recurring state and local income tax functions.
Review state and local income tax returns, indirect tax returns, estimated tax payments, and extensions prepared in-house (by junior staff) and the Company’s external accounting firm; and ensure the timely and accurate filing and remittance of all state and local income tax filings. Assist the Director-Tax with tax controversy matters, including responding to state and local income tax notices and supporting the Director-Tax in the management and administration of income tax audits.
Provide advice on an ad-hoc basis to internal departments across the organization on a variety of indirect tax matters, including, but not limited to, sales and use, live entertainment, hotel occupancy taxes, and information reporting. Review the tax provisions of license and other legal agreements and vendor contracts, to identify and make recommendations regarding potential sales and use, withholding, and other tax issues.
Monitor developments in tax laws, regulations, administrative guidance, and judicial interpretations; assess their impact to the Company; and provide recommendations accordingly. Assist the Director-Tax in ad-hoc research projects, including researching federal, state, and local tax issues, analyzing statutory and regulatory guidance, and preparing written summary analyses and recommendations.
