Job Description

  • I. Responsibilities:
  • Support the preparation of U.S. federal income tax return Form 1120 for a

consolidated group.

  • Analyze book-to-tax differences and support reconciliations
  • Calculate and process quarterly estimated tax payments and annual extensions.
  • Assist with preparation of US income tax provisions consistent with IAS 12.
  • Perform tax account reconciliations and ensure the accuracy of tax balances

in the general ledger.

  • Work with external auditors to support tax provision review.
  • Support federal tax audits and information requests.
  • Complete special projects and other compliance tasks.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external advisors on tax matters

II. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
  • 0-2 years of relevant experience in a corporate tax department or a CPA firm
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
  • Collaborative and team-oriented

Preferred

  • Familiarity with OneSource tax software
  • Advanced degree in finance-related field
  • CPA certification or progress towards certification
  • Familiarity with ERP consolidation systems such as BPC or HFM

III. Tools and Equipment Used:

  • Personal Computer
  • Office Equipment – Multi-function printers

IV. Relationship:

The Federal Tax Accountant will report to the Federal Tax Manager.
