OVERVIEW
- Creative Artists Agency is seeking an experienced Senior Director, International
- Tax to lead the execution of CAA’s international tax compliance and reporting
- obligations outside the United States. Based in London, this role is responsible
- for ensuring accurate, timely, and scalable delivery of international tax
- compliance, tax accounting, and tax operations across EMEA, APAC, LATAM, and
- Canada.
- This role is focused on tax operations, compliance, reporting, and process
- management, and will partner closely with the Senior Director, International Tax
- Strategy & Planning, who is responsible for international tax planning,
- structuring, transfer pricing, and strategic tax matters.
Responsibilities include but not limited to
- Own international tax compliance execution across EMEA, APAC, LATAM, and
Canada including income tax returns, local tax filings, and other required
tax reporting.
- Lead international tax provision processes and local statutory tax reporting
under U.S. GAAP and local GAAP, as applicable.
- Manage quarterly and year-end international tax deliverables, including
statutory accounts support and audit readiness.
- Coordinate and oversee local advisors responsible for country-level filings,
payments, and correspondence with tax authorities.
- Manage international tax audits, inquiries, and notices in coordination with
local advisors.
- Maintain international tax calendars, workflows, and documentation standards
across jurisdictions.
- Ensure consistency, quality, and timely delivery of international tax
workpapers, reporting packages, and documentation.
- Serve as primary point of coordination for international tax operations with
Finance and Accounting teams.
- Support Senior Accounting Officer (SAO) requirements
by maintaining international tax processes, controls, and documentation.
- Implement and maintain tax processes and operational workflows to support a
scalable global tax function.
- Escalate technical, risk, and judgment matters to the Global Head of Tax and
Senior Director, International Tax Strategy & Planning, as appropriate.
Leadership & People Management
- Manage and develop international tax team members, including coaching,
performance management, and career development.
- Provide day-to-day oversight, prioritization, and coordination of work across
internal staff and external advisors.
- Establish clear responsibilities, timelines, and accountability
across jurisdictions and advisors.
- Foster a collaborative, solutions-oriented team environment between
international finance and tax teams.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
- Professionally qualified (ACA, ACCA, CTA, ATT, CPA or equivalent).
- 15+ years of relevant international tax experience, with significant
experience in global tax compliance, reporting, and tax accounting.
- Experience managing international tax compliance and reporting across
multiple jurisdictions.
- Experience working with partnership and hybrid structures preferred.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP tax accounting and local statutory reporting
requirements.
- Experience coordinating with external advisors and managing outsourced
compliance models.
- Demonstrated leadership and people management experience.
- Strong organizational and process management skills; ability to manage
multiple jurisdictions and deadlines.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with Finance, Accounting, Legal, and other
stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and documentation skills with attention to detail.
- Experience managing international tax audits preferred.
- Familiarity with VAT and indirect tax compliance coordination preferred.
- Familiarity with SAP preferred.
