Job Description

  • We are seeking an experienced and motivated Trade Compliance Analyst to join our
  • corporate Global Trade Compliance team in the APAC region. This role will report
  • to Solventum’s Director of Global Trade Compliance and have a diverse scope of
  • responsibilities to support the continuous growth and development of Solventum’s
  • corporate trade compliance program.
  • The activities under the responsibility of this role include, but are not

limited to, the following

  • Country of Origin: conduct country of origin determinations for the Solventum

product portfolio through the analysis of data, manufacturing processes and

related documentation; develop questionnaires to streamline the existing

processes and ensure that all relevant data is up-to-date and accurate in

Solventum’s ERP systems; participate in cross-functional meetings and

projects to identify potential country of origin changes and/or concerns;

manage vendor/supplier solicitations for origin certifications, as needed;

  • Customs Valuation: respond to customs valuation inquiries from internal and

external stakeholders; analyze any retroactive price adjustments and identify

requirements for customs disclosures and/or entry amendments (globally);

  • Export compliance: complete RPL and end-use checks; apply for export licenses

(as needed); manage compliance certifications from 3rd parties; ensure that

ECCNs and export licensing/embargo controls are up-to-date and accurate in

Solventum’s ERP systems;

  • Support the preparation and submission of responses to government inquiries;
  • Support the preparation and submission of disclosures to government agencies,

as needed;

  • Conduct transactional and other trade compliance audits, report results,

identify/implement any corrective actions that may be required, monitor

progress/completion;

  • Analyze import and export data to identify trends, potential compliance

concerns and opportunities for duty savings and other process optimizations;

  • Support various IT/ERP-related projects, as needed (e.g., business

requirement determination, blueprinting , testing, stabilization support, …);

  • Support the development and delivery of training in various areas of global

trade compliance;

  • Work with different internal and external stakeholders to identify, develop,

standardize, and maintain all required policies, standards and procedures to

ensure compliance with the applicable trade compliance requirements;

  • Establish and maintain KPIs and provide metrics to the leadership team on the

overall performance.

Required Skills and Expertise

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in International Affairs/Trade, International

Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, or another related field

  • Three (3) to five (5) years of experience in the area of global trade

compliance in a law firm/consultancy or a multinational organization

  • Strong knowledge of country of origin and customs valuation regulations and

requirements in the APAC region

  • Expertise in US and local/regional export compliance regulations will be a

plus

  • Expertise in customs auditing
  • SAP and GTS working knowledge and expertise preferred
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Strong written & verbal communication and presentation skills
