About the role

  • We are seeking a detail‑oriented professional who can apply strong expertise in
  • direct and indirect taxes, along with solid accounting knowledge, to support
  • various EMEA and APAC tax compliance processes (Indirect Tax, US GAAP tax
  • forecasting and provision processes, Operational Transfer Pricing). The ideal
  • candidate will be proficient in taxation, MS Office, SAP, and possess strong
  • communication skills.
  • In this role, you will be responsible for delivering tax operational processes
  • and support Managers in ensuring accurate, compliant, and timely delivery. The
  • role requires strong accounting and tax fundamentals, analytical skills, and the
  • ability to prioritize effectively. You would be required to support the Manager
  • in process oversight and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to
  • ensure high-quality delivery.
  • What will you do
  • This role requires a strong foundation in compliance, book closure activities,
  • reconciliations, and tax-related competencies. As an Assistant Manager, you will

be responsible for the following

  • Tax, Accounting & Reporting
  • Perform and review tax and statutory reporting tasks for accuracy and

compliance.

  • Prepare and review General Ledger entries including accruals, provisions, and

adjustments as per guidelines.

  • Provide initial analytical commentary to support financial and management

reporting.

Controls & Governance

  • Track period end close progress and highlight risks or delays to the Manager.
  • Support financial control checks and documentation as per the Control

Framework.

  • Maintain detailed working papers and supporting documentation
  • Execute assigned controls and ensure audit trail is complete

Process Leadership & Continuous Improvement

  • Identify process gaps and suggest improvement opportunities.
  • Support implementation of process changes and technology-enabled

enhancements.

  • Apply problem solving techniques to resolve operational issues.
  • Contribute to maintaining and improving Process KPIs.

Stakeholder Interaction

  • Support communication with internal teams to gather required information
  • Respond to routine queries and follow up on outstanding items

Process Improvement Support

  • Identify data or process issues and suggest improvements
  • Support implementation of new tools, templates, and processes
  • Maintain and update process documentation where required

Team Contribution

  • Collaborate effectively within the team to meet deadlines
  • Support ad hoc tasks and projects as require

What will you bring

  • Qualifications: Bachelor’s/Master’s in Accounting
  • Experience: 4+ years of relevant experience (preferably in tax, accounting,

or shared services)

  • Strong understanding of accounting concepts, reconciliations, and reporting
  • Experience in SAP and MS Office
  • Good communication, analytical, and coordination skills
