Job Description
- Tax Learning and Development Manager – Crowe Capability Center
- Crowe is seeking a Learning and Development Manager to join the Crowe Tax team

The Tax Learning and Development Manager is responsible for leading the
planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of training and
development programs that support the growth and performance of professionals
within the Crowe Tax organization. This role plays a key position in driving
impactful learning initiatives aligned with firm strategy, technical capability
development, and professional advancement.
The Learning and Development Manager also serves as the program lead for
training initiatives for the Tax team in India, working closely with leadership,
curriculum teams, subject matter experts, and other stakeholders to ensure
high-quality learning experiences.
Collaborates with team members to ensure the development and delivery of
internal training programs using a variety of learning delivery formats. Works
closely with curriculum, development, and instructional design teams to
understand program objectives and needs to provide project, operations,
compliance, and logistics management. This role interacts heavily with various
team members, instructors, participants and other stakeholders including subject
matter experts, partners/directors and other individuals across the firm and
requires clear and effective written and oral communication.
Key Responsibilities
- Learning Strategy and Program Leadership
- Lead the development and execution of a comprehensive learning and
development strategy aligned with the goals of Tax team in India and the
broader firm.
- Serve as the program owner for learning initiatives supporting the growth and
development of the Tax team in India, ensuring programs are delivered
effectively and aligned with business objectives.
- Understand business dynamics to design the annual learning strategy,
partnering with the US learning team, to understand the needs of all tax
teams in India.
- Establish and oversee processes, timelines, and governance structures for the
successful delivery of training programs.
- Collaborate with business leaders to ensure training initiatives support
technical, professional, and leadership development across the organization.
Training Program Design and Delivery
- Lead the design, development, and execution of training programs across
multiple delivery formats, including instructor-led training, virtual
learning, webinars, and blended learning experiences.
- Plan and oversee conference-style training events and learning programs,
including multi-day training sessions such as our new hire orientation,
leadership development programs, and large-scale professional education
initiatives.
- Facilitate and lead select training sessions, workshops, and learning events
as needed.
- Ensure learning programs deliver engaging, high-quality participant
experiences.
- Oversee logistics planning to ensure efficient and seamless execution of
learning events.
Learning Technology and Operations
- Oversee administration and governance of the Learning Management System (LMS)
to ensure accuracy, compliance, and effective reporting.
- Coordinate the setup and management of technology-enabled learning programs,
including virtual classrooms and webinar platforms.
- Provide guidance and training to instructors and facilitators on effective
use of learning technologies and instructional delivery methods.
- Ensure timely planning and coordination of access to required tools and
technology for all participants.
Stakeholder Engagement and Collaboration
- Partner with curriculum developers to define learning objectives, materials,
and program content.
- Engage with firm leadership, subject matter experts, and instructors to
ensure training programs address key business needs.
- Communicate program objectives, timelines, and outcomes clearly to
stakeholders across the firm.
- Provide guidance to employees and managers regarding available learning and
development opportunities.
Program Evaluation and Continuous Improvement
- Evaluate the effectiveness of learning programs through participant feedback,
course evaluations, and performance metrics.
- Analyze training outcomes and recommend improvements to enhance program
effectiveness and impact.
- Develop reporting and insights to demonstrate the value and impact of
learning initiatives.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree in a relevant field is preferred
- 6–8 years of experience in learning and development, training program
management, or talent development
- Demonstrated experience leading and managing large-scale training programs
and conference-style learning events
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills, including interaction
with senior leadership and executive stakeholders
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to
manage multiple complex initiatives simultaneously
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools and learning technologies
- Ability to influence and collaborate effectively across all levels of the
organization
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience with Big 4 or a large national, or U.S.-based accounting
firm
- Experience supporting professional services or tax technical training
programs
- Experience managing learning management systems (LMS) and virtual learning
platforms
- Strong understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design
practices
- Self-starter with the ability to develop, implement, and manage new learning
processes and programs independently
