Role description
From the employerWe are seeking an experienced and entrepreneurial Vice President – Tax Insurance Broker to join our growing tax insurance practice. This role will focus on advising clients and placing tax liability insurance solutions related to mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructurings, private equity transactions, complex tax positions, and tax credits. The successful candidate will serve as a trusted advisor to private equity firms, corporate clients, law firms, accounting firms, and other transaction stakeholders, helping identify, structure, and transfer tax-related risks through insurance solutions.

###Responsibilities### Client Advisory & Placement Advise clients on the use of tax insurance as a risk-transfer tool for identified and contingent tax exposures. Analyze tax opinions, transaction structures, and technical tax issues to assess insurability. Develop and execute placement strategies with tax insurance underwriters.
Manage the underwriting process from submission through policy binding. Negotiate policy terms, coverage enhancements, exclusions, and pricing on behalf of clients. Business Development Develop and maintain relationships with private equity sponsors, investment banks, law firms, accounting firms, and corporate development teams.
Generate new business opportunities through networking, referrals, conferences, and targeted outreach. Deliver presentations and educational sessions on tax insurance solutions and market developments. Collaborate with internal teams to cross-sell transactional risk products.
Market Leadership Serve as a subject matter expert on tax insurance products and developments. Contribute to thought leadership initiatives, publications, and industry events. Mentor junior team members and support practice growth.
Qualifications: Required Bachelor's degree.
###experience### in tax, transactional tax advisory, tax insurance, M&A advisory, law, or related disciplines. Strong understanding of U.S. federal income tax concepts and transaction structures. Demonstrated ability to manage complex client relationships. Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Proven business development capabilities and commercial acumen. Preferred
###Experience### with tax insurance underwriting, broking, transactional risk insurance, or M&A advisory. Established relationships within private equity, legal, accounting, or corporate transaction communities. Knowledge of international tax matters and cross-border transactions.
