The Senior Customs Clearance Manager will be responsible for end-to-end
oversight, compliance, and coordination of international shipment activity (with
a heavy focus on submissions) moving through Collectors’ logistics network. As
international volume and routing complexity continue to increase, currently
encompassing 132 possible submission routes, this role will provide centralized
ownership to proactively enable smooth transport across borders (of submissions,
outbound shipments, Operations materials), and mitigate mis-shipments, customs
delays, and communication gaps across teams and regions.
This position will focus heavily on Temporary Import Bond (TIB) compliance,
shipment validation, exception management, and cross-functional coordination
between U.S. operations, international offices, brokers, and carriers. The role
will track and help our business to respond to ever shifting customs
requirements across countries, and ensure accuracy, visibility, and
accountability from intake through final return.
You’ll report to the Director, Global Supply Chain and can work remotely with
quarterly travel. We believe that there is significant value in in-personal
collaboration. If you live within a 1 hour commuting distance to one of our
offices, you may be required to be onsite most of the time. This will be
discussed further as part of the recruiting process.
What You’ll Do
International Submission Control & Validation
- Review and validate all international submission orders processed through
Santa Ana, New Jersey, and other U.S. hubs prior to release
- Ensure correct routing, destination handling, and system setup across all
international shipments
- Maintain “Shipping Hold” status for PSA China, Hong Kong, and other
designated international submissions until cleared per policy
TIB Compliance & Customs Oversight
- Establish a global broker partner to streamline all international shipments
and enable smooth new location go lives - evaluate current external
partnerships and ensure we have strong global partners in place to scale
- Provide ongoing ownership of TIB compliance after shipments depart U.S.
facilities
- Proactively track customs requirements across key locations to ensure we
process information and apply Operational process changes ahead of shipping
- Partner closely with U.S. customs brokers and FedEx to ensure end-to-end
tracking and proactive resolution of customs holds
- Monitor shipments for port accuracy, customs status, and documentation
completeness
Tracking, Auditing & Exception Management
- Conduct regular audits of active international submissions to identify
discrepancies, delays, or compliance risks
- Produce exception reports and escalate issues to management within a 48-hour
SLA
- Identify problem orders early and flag for key internal teams, to prevent
delays to remaining shipments within bulk TIB batches
- Closely monitor turnaround times (TATs) and shipment progress from intake
through return
Cross-Regional Communication & Coordination
- Act as the single point of contact between PSA U.S., China, Hong Kong, and
other international logistics teams
- Provide clear, timely status updates and resolution paths for international
stakeholders
- Coordinate across Receiving, Operations, Shipping, and Grading to ensure
process continuity
Process Improvement & Systems Partnership
- Partner with Operations, IT, and cross-functional stakeholders to:
- Strengthen system safeguards
- Reduce reliance on manual tracking and fragmented documentation
- Automate destination validation and routing checks
- Apply Shipping dept process improvements as needed to ensure smooth
delivery to international customers and business locations
- Contribute to the development and enforcement of standardized international
logistics procedures
Expected Impact

Who You Are
- 7-10+ years of experience in international logistics, supply chain, or
shipping operations
- Working knowledge of customs processes, commercial invoices, and
international shipping documentation
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage complex, multi-step
workflows
- Proven ability to track, audit, and resolve exceptions in high-volume
environments
- Strong cross-functional communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Extensive (10 years+) experience managing TIB shipments or bonded logistics
processes
- Familiarity with warehouse management and order management systems
- Experience supporting Asia Pacific logistics flows
- Background in operational compliance or process improvement
Salary: The salary range for this position is $117,949 - $191,490. Actual
compensation on this range varies based on a variety of non-discriminatory
factors, including location, job level, experience, and skill set. This role may
be eligible for bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation, please ask
