The Opportunity
- As a Specialized Tax Services - Research & Development Tax - Manager, you will
- provide tax advice and solutions to clients in complex and niche areas of
- taxation, including accounting methods, fixed-assets, and research and
- development tax credits. Within our Tax practice, you will help businesses
- navigate intricate tax regulations and optimize their tax positions. As a
- Manager, you will lead teams and manage client accounts, focusing on strategic
- planning and mentoring junior staff. You are accountable for project success and
- maintaining standards, enhancing your leadership style to motivate, develop, and
- inspire others to deliver quality.
- In this role, you will take ownership of projects, confirming their successful
- planning, budgeting, execution, and completion. You will also be responsible for
- coaching and leveraging team members' unique strengths to meet client
- expectations. With your growing business knowledge, you will play an important
- role in identifying opportunities that contribute to the success of our firm.
- You are expected to lead with integrity and authenticity, articulating our
- purpose and values in a meaningful way. Embracing technology and innovation, you

Responsibilities
- Leading the development and execution of tax strategies for clients in
specialized areas such as research and development tax credits
- Managing client engagements, including planning, budgeting, and delivering tax
solutions that align with client expectations
- Analyzing complex tax regulations and identifying opportunities for tax
optimization and compliance
- Coaching and mentoring team members to enhance their skills and performance in
delivering client services
- Collaborating with leadership to maintain quality and timelines for
deliverables
- Utilizing analytical thinking to address and resolve client issues and
conflicts effectively
- Upholding professional and technical standards, including adherence to PwC's
code of conduct and independence requirements
- Encouraging innovation and embracing technology to improve service delivery
and client satisfaction
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships to support ongoing tax
advisory services
- Developing skills outside comfort zones and fostering a culture of continuous
learning within the team
What You Must Have
- At least a Bachelor's degree
- At least 4 years of experience
- At least one of the following: Certified Public Accountant, Member of the Bar
or other tax, technology, or finance-specific credentials may qualify for this
opportunity

Job Posting End Date
The salary range for this position is: $99,000 - $266,000. Actual compensation
within the range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience,
qualifications and location, and applicable employment laws. All hired
individuals are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. PwC offers a wide
