###The Opportunity### As Vice President of Tax – Americas, you are the senior tax leader for our growth-oriented organization operating across North, Central, and South America. You define and execute the regional tax strategy, with oversight of income tax, indirect tax, transfer pricing, tax accounting, compliance, controversy, and planning across multiple jurisdictions. You act as a trusted advisor to executive leadership, partnering closely with Finance, Accounting, Treasury, Legal, HR, and business leaders to manage risk, support growth, optimize cash tax and effective tax rate outcomes, and ensure strong governance.

You lead and develop a team of approximately 12–15 tax professionals, while building the capabilities, structures, and processes needed to support evolving business priorities. In this role, you drive meaningful impact by safeguarding compliance, strengthening governance, and enabling business growth—while enhancing earnings quality, improving cash flow, and optimizing Hitachi Energy’s overall tax position across the Americas.
