###Job Description### Crowe is seeking a Tax Services Associate (Staff) – Federal to join the Crowe Tax team in India. At Crowe Tax India, our purpose is "Shaping Your Better Tomorrow. Together.
Today." The purpose inspires us, and our values Care, Trust, Courage, and Stewardship define us. This position is responsible for US tax compliance work for our clients including preparation and initial review of Tax returns and work with other tax professionals in the firm.
Exempt Organizations Tax compliance responsibilities: Prepare and review IRS Forms 990, 990-T, 990-PF, 1023 Knowledge of partnership (1065) returns, and state returns is a plus Prepare workpapers and calculate taxable income Research and analyze technical issues related to tax-exempt status and unrelated business income tax (UBIT) Engage in client meetings and presentations to discuss and resolve tax matters.
Facilitate the alignment of team priorities and schedules, engaging with the resource management team.
###skills### and acquiring knowledge in US tax and relevant technologies. Basic Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field required Minimum 1.5 years of
###experience### in US taxation, with an understanding of federal and state tax compliance.
###Experience### in using Tax software like OneSource Income Tax, CCH and Go system Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and quality in all work tasks. Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree, CPA or Enrolled Agent certification Prior
###experience### with Big 4 or a large national, regional or U.S.-based accounting firm and/or in-house corporate tax
###experience### Technically proficient with strong accounting, analytical and research
###skills### Self-starter with ability to prioritize tasks and independently define, implement, and manage new processes Technology

This is so we can use this title going forward For offers we make that aren’t tied to a cost center yet (because we don’t know what cost center they are going in). For aligning the staffs to job profile and not worrying if their cost center changes last minute and we have to update their title.
