About The Opportunity The Senior Indirect Tax Manager is responsible for overseeing the company’s indirect tax compliance, planning, and controversy management, including sales and use tax, VAT/GST, excise, property tax, and other transaction-based taxes. This role partners closely with finance, operations, supply chain, and external advisors to ensure accurate reporting, effective risk management, and alignment with business objectives.
Senior Indirect Tax Manager The Senior Indirect Tax Manager is responsible for overseeing the company’s indirect tax compliance, planning, and controversy management, including sales and use tax, VAT/GST, excise, property tax, and other transaction-based taxes. This role partners closely with finance, operations, supply chain, and external advisors to ensure accurate reporting, effective risk management, and alignment with business objectives.
###Responsibilities### Compliance & Reporting · Manage timely and accurate preparation, review, and filing of indirect tax returns (e. g.
###Qualifications### Required · Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Tax, or related field · 10-15+ years of progressive indirect tax
###experience### in public accounting and/or industry · Strong technical knowledge of U.S. sales and use tax, VAT/GST, property tax and excise tax ·
###Experience### managing tax audits and interacting with taxing authorities · Demonstrated ability to translate complex tax rules into practical business guidance Preferred · CPA, JD, MST, or equivalent professional credential · Multinational or manufacturing
###experience### · Familiarity with tax technology platforms and ERP systems ·
###Experience### with Vertex sales tax platform · Prior people or project management
