Customs Execution Finops Specialist
The Accounting Operations function encompasses roles responsible for the
day-to-day management of Customs-related and financial transactions. This
includes ensuring accuracy, compliance with regulatory requirements, and
adherence to accounting principles and standards. The scope covers cost
accounting (such as allocation and analysis of direct/indirect costs and
variance analysis), budget accounting (including development and monitoring of
annual revenue and expense budgets), as well as accounts payable/receivable,
billing, and invoicing activities.
This position falls within the administrative career stream, comprising roles
that provide skilled technical, administrative, and operational support.
Employees may range from entry-level staff to experienced individual
contributors who possess solid technical knowledge and can independently execute
specialized tasks that support broader operational goals.
At this level, the colleague works with limited-scope assignments, exercising
independent judgment within defined guidelines. They apply skills gained through
job-related training and hands-on experience in their specific discipline.
Responsibilities
- Manage customer relationships and deliver exceptional service to both
internal and external stakeholders through professional email communication.
- Address and resolve customer complaints or disputes promptly while
maintaining alignment with company policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient and effective completion of
multiple operational activities.
- Apply problem-solving skills to identify and address customer issues.
- Maintain and share accurate customer data.
- Escalate complex matters to supervisors or senior colleagues when necessary
- Knowledgeable on rate cards and translation
- Ensures month end closure activities are done on time
- Collaboration with multiple teams, CX & SME, sales etc
- Accurate and timely generation, validation, and dispatch of invoices for
customs-related services.
- Precise recording and reconciliation of costs, taxes, and duties in job
systems to maintain financial integrity.
- Compliance with internal controls and external regulations for customs
financial processes.
- Delivery of error-free financial data to support reporting and audit
requirements.
Requirements
- 2–3 years of accounting experience is preferable
- Strong email communication skills and effective problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- High attention to detail with strong organizational capabilities.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel and Outlook
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team and support rotating shifts as
needed.
- Strong time-management skills.
- Flexibility to adapt to shifting priorities and deadlines.
