  • As a Manager in our Tax practice, you will provide advice and guidance to
  • clients on tax planning, compliance, and strategy, helping businesses navigate
  • complex tax regulations and optimize their tax positions. As a Manager, you will
  • lead teams and manage client accounts, focusing on strategic planning and
  • mentoring junior staff. You are accountable for project success and maintaining
  • standards. Enhancing your leadership style, you motivate, develop, and inspire
  • others to deliver quality. You are responsible for coaching, leveraging team
  • members' unique strengths, and managing performance to deliver on client
  • expectations. With your growing knowledge of how business works, you play an
  • important role in identifying opportunities that contribute to the success of

  • In this role at PwC Acceleration Center India, you will analyze and interpret
  • local tax laws and regulations, assisting businesses in complying with local tax
  • requirements and optimizing their local tax positions. You will take ownership
  • of projects, confirming their successful planning, budgeting, execution, and
  • completion. You will also develop skills outside your comfort zone and encourage
  • others to do the same, effectively mentoring others and using the review of work
  • as an opportunity to deepen the skills of team members.

Responsibilities

  • Analyzing and interpreting local tax laws to provide strategic guidance to

clients

  • Leading teams in the execution of multistate tax compliance and local tax

optimization projects

  • Developing and implementing tax strategies to navigate complex regulations and

enhance client positions

  • Coaching team members to leverage their strengths and improve performance in

client engagements

  • Collaborating with leadership to maintain quality and timelines in project

deliverables

  • Utilizing analytical thinking to identify opportunities for tax efficiency and

compliance improvements

  • Engaging in challenging conversations with clients and stakeholders to address

issues and resolve conflicts

  • Upholding professional and technical standards, including adherence to PwC's

code of conduct and independence requirements

  • Encouraging innovation and embracing change to enhance service delivery and

client satisfaction

  • Conducting reverse audits and payroll tax efficiency reviews to optimize

client tax positions

What You Must Have

  • At least a Bachelor's degree in the following field of study: Accounting or

Master's in Commerce

  • At least 6 years of experience
  • Oral and written proficiency in English required

What Sets You Apart

  • In Tax, Manager, Senior Manager, and Director roles prefer candidates who hold

an active primary credential, such as one of the following: (1) US CPA or

foreign equivalent (2) US Enrolled Agent in good standing with an appropriate

regulatory body (3) a firm-approved secondary credential

  • Demonstrating proficiency in Multistate Tax Compliance and Local Taxes
  • Utilizing analytical thinking to identify tax policy opportunities
  • Embracing change and innovation in tax legislation processes
  • Excelling in coaching and feedback to develop team strengths
