Join our Team and advance your career as an Indirect Tax Advisor (Castrol) In this role You will: Manage end-to-end global VAT group indirect tax consolidation tasks Coordinate the timely delivery of indirect tax reports for specific market resident groups and standalone companies, including Intrastat, ECSL and VAT returns, working independently with relevant teams and instructing them where necessary Collect the reports required to prepare consolidated VAT returns for group and standalone entities and carry out periodic trend analyses as a control to validate the reasonableness of the data to be reported.
Regularly contact Group Tax teams and business representatives to validate reporting positions, request updates on business activity, and support SOX controls, audit readiness and responses to Tax Authority queries. Sign off and submit consolidated and standalone VAT returns in line with local regulations, arrange payments in line with internal requirements, and instruct relevant teams on accounting tasks.
Manage the partial exemption calculation process by gathering relevant information from the business and tax advisers, assessing adjustments, and preparing annual analysis and calculations Represent BP alongside Group Tax in internal and external tax audits Resolve issues and queries requiring reference to local indirect tax requirements, provide documentation and evidence for end-to-end resolution, and initiate appropriate problem investigation.
Maintain up-to-date documentation, process maps and ARIS models relating to FBT Tax indirect tax consolidation processes.
