###Overview### The Tax Department is responsible for ensuring that the EDFT group meets its tax compliance
###requirements### in the jurisdictions in which it operates, while providing high-quality, commercially focused advice to the business and other support functions. Position purpose This role is primarily focused on international tax advisory work across a range of business initiatives. It offers exposure to complex, cross-border operations within a dynamic trading environment, with direct interaction with senior stakeholders and input into commercial decision-making processes.
The successful candidate will operate with a high degree of autonomy, managing a varied workload across advisory and project-based activities, while collaborating effectively with stakeholders.
###Responsibilities### Provide commercially focused, technically robust tax advice on strategic business initiatives, including market expansion, new products, reorganisations and other complex transactions, balancing tax risk with commercial objectives Lead the tax aspects of business projects from planning through implementation, applying sound technical judgment and partnering with external advisors to deliver practical solutions Drive the global transfer pricing documentation, including UK and overseas local files with external advisers Support bilateral APA application processes when applicable, ensuring ongoing compliance Work with the business and HR to advise on and implement appropriate corporate tax and transfer pricing arrangements for overseas employees Monitor developments in tax legislation, identifying risks and opportunities for the EDFT group Take ownership of key international tax compliance and review processes, including Controlled Foreign Company (CFC) analyses, permanent establishment assessments, hybrid mismatch reviews, and other anti-avoidance measures Contribute to wider tax team work as required, including tax compliance and reporting, tax governance (e.

###Experience### required Good UK corporate tax experience, with strong exposure to international tax and transfer pricing
###Experience### operating at Manager level (or equivalent) within a large advisory firm and/or multinational business Professional qualification (ACA, CTA or equivalent) or comparable
###experience### Person Specification Strong understanding of UK and international tax principles Motivated, curious and proactive, with a genuine interest in developing tax expertise and engaging with new business challenges Effective communicator, able to explain complex issues clearly to non-tax stakeholders.
