Role Overview

  • The Tax Analyst/Senior Tax Analyst will be responsible for supporting tax
  • compliance and reporting activities for Applied Materials’ Singapore entities.
  • This role involves managing and supporting Corporate Income Tax (CIT) matters,
  • quarterly and year-end US tax provision, GST filings, WHT, TP, tax
  • incentives/grants tracking and reporting, performing detailed tax
  • reconciliations and assisting with various tax-related projects. The ideal
  • candidate is analytical, meticulous, and able to work independently while
  • collaborating effectively with internal stakeholders and external advisors.

Key Responsibilities

  • CIT: Prepare detailed information request from tax agent for CIT computation

and return preparation including data extraction and analysis.  Review and

work with tax agent for timely completion and submission of tax returns

  • Quarterly and annual US tax provision: Prepare quarterly and annual year-end

tax provision workings and package for US tax purposes including detailed

income/expenses/relevant GL data extraction and relevant tax analysis

  • GST Compliance: Prepare and file group GST returns for Singapore entities

accurately and timely.

  • Withholding tax: Prepare and file SG WHT returns
  • Transfer pricing: Prepare information required for compilation of TPD and

respond to related questions

  • IRAS CIT/GST/TP/WHT tax queries and audits: Prepare and compile replies to

IRAS tax queries and/or tax audits

  • BEPS DTT and/or MTT: Support and responsible for SG DTT/MTT registration,

calculation, reporting and submission, etc.  Support group BEPS reporting and

compliance matters when assigned.

  • Financial statements and tax notes: Support and prepare assigned tax related

tasks with reference to financial statements finalisation including tax notes

  • Tax Incentives and Grants : Track and monitor compliance with regards to tax

incentive and relevant conditions. Prepare relevant reporting when assigned.

  • Ad-hoc Projects: Support other tax-related projects, reportingand initiatives

as assigned.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Taxation, ACCA, or equivalent.
  • 3+ years’ corporate income tax experience in an accounting firm and/or

corporate environment

  • Familiarity with SAP and hands-on experience is an advantage.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong technical accounting skills, particularly in performing

reconciliations.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities

under tight deadlines.

  • Self-motivated with a positive attitude and ability to work independently.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Collaborative team player with the ability to work effectively across

functions.
