Position Summary
Your Impact (Essential Duties)
Assist with organizing, scanning, uploading, and maintaining client tax documents within firm systems
Support the tax team by tracking receipt of client information and helping ensure all required documentation is collected timely
Assist with preparing and assembling tax return packages, engagement files, and related correspondence
Enter and maintain client and tax-related information in firm databases and workflow management systems with accuracy and attention to detail
Help monitor filing deadlines, extension requests, and return statuses to support efficient workflow management
Assist with electronic filing processes, including preparation and tracking of signature documents and authorizations
Support administrative aspects of tax engagements, including document requests, file maintenance, and data verification
Communicate clearly with internal team members regarding missing information, document issues, and workflow updates
Maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive client financial and personal information
Contribute to team projects and participate in learning opportunities and training sessions
Perform other duties and display flexibility to take on a variety of responsibilities assigned by firm leadership
Meet agreed upon targets to fulfill individual performance and overall firm productivity
Your Background
Required: Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, finance, office administration, or a related field
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail when working with documentation and data
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Good communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
Ability to follow instructions, ask questions, and seek feedback to improve your work
Professionalism and discretion when handling confidential information
Interest in gaining experience within a tax, accounting, or professional services environment
Availability to work part-time or full-time during the internship term, with flexibility during peak deadlines
