**Role: AU Senior Tax Accountant** **Location: Hybrid**

**Responsibilities:**

• Manage a portfolio of **SME, trust, partnership, and high-net-worth individual** clients.
• Experience in managing own mini team.
• Prepare and review **financial statements** and **income tax returns** (individual, company, trust)
• Review and lodge **BAS, IAS, FBT, and GST** returns.
• Assist with **tax planning** and compliance to optimise client outcomes.
• Supervise, train, and review the work of junior accountants and graduates.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing timely and effective communication.
• Keep up to date with changes in **tax law, ATO guidelines**, and **Australian Accounting Standards (AASB)**.
• Assisting with payroll tax, QBCC, FBT, and other ad hoc compliance tasks
• Assisting with tax planning, management reporting, and other business advisory services
• Liaising with clients to answer queries and provide professional support

**Qualifications:**

Education

• Should be a graduate of Finance and or Accounting
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) OR Chartered Accountant (CA) is preferred

Product Knowledge

• Complete knowledge of client accounts and businesses
• General AU Accounting experience with solid background
• At least 5 years of experience in Australian accounting or taxation
• Knowledge with Australian Taxation and Compliance is preferred
• Knowledge with Microsoft Office applications such as Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Familiar with accounting tools such as Xero and MYOB
• Ability to learn new systems and tools as needed
• Ensures quality of work being delivered without being supervised
• Demonstrated creative and critical thinking skills
• Able to work on multiple projects simultaneously
• Good oral and written communication skills
