Our client is a rapidly growing mining company operating within Indonesia's nickel industry, supporting the global supply chain for electric vehicle (EV) batteries, stainless steel production, and other strategic mineral industries. As part of a large multinational industrial group with an extensive international presence, the company combines global operational standards with strong local expertise to develop sustainable mining operations across Indonesia.

The organization is currently developing a major nickel mining project in Southeast Sulawesi, encompassing exploration activities, supporting infrastructure, logistics networks, and future commercial production facilities. With significant investments in mining infrastructure and downstream industrial development, the company is committed to implementing international governance standards, operational excellence, and Good Mining Practices (GMP) while building a reliable and sustainable mineral supply chain for global markets.

**Job Role**

The Finance, Accounting & Tax (FAT) Manager is a strategic financial leadership role responsible for overseeing the organization's finance, accounting, taxation, and financial governance functions while ensuring full compliance with Indonesian regulations and multinational corporate reporting standards.

This role plays a critical part in safeguarding the company's financial integrity by managing accounting operations, tax compliance, budgeting, cash flow, financial reporting, and audit readiness. Working closely with local leadership and regional headquarters, the successful candidate will oversee cross-border financial reporting, optimize financial controls, and support the organization's continued growth through sound financial management and regulatory compliance.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Lead and oversee all finance, accounting, bookkeeping, treasury, and financial reporting activities to ensure accuracy, transparency, and regulatory compliance.
  • Manage corporate tax planning, tax reporting, tax compliance, and coordinate all external tax audits in accordance with Indonesian tax regulations.
  • Supervise accounts receivable (AR), accounts payable (AP), banking activities, cash flow management, and cost control initiatives to maintain healthy financial performance.
  • Prepare annual budgets, financial forecasts, monthly management reports, variance analysis, and strategic financial recommendations for senior management.
  • Ensure timely preparation of statutory financial statements and management reports in accordance with both local accounting standards and corporate reporting requirements.
  • Coordinate with banks, external auditors, tax consultants, and government authorities regarding financial, taxation, and compliance matters.
  • Maintain strong internal control systems and continuously improve financial processes, governance frameworks, and operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with regional and international headquarters to ensure seamless financial reporting, budgeting, and cross-border compliance.
  • Support business decision-making through financial analysis, risk assessment, and performance monitoring.

**Candidate Requirements**

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 8–10 years of professional experience across Finance, Accounting, and Tax functions, including at least 5 years in a managerial or leadership capacity.
  • Proven experience within the mining, oil & gas, commodity trading, logistics, or other capital-intensive industries is highly preferred.
  • Strong expertise in Indonesian taxation, corporate income tax, withholding tax, financial reporting, budgeting, treasury management, cost accounting, and internal controls.
  • Experience managing external audits, tax audits, financial compliance, and cross-functional finance operations.
  • Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, leadership, and organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively within multinational organizations and coordinate with cross-border stakeholders.
  • High level of integrity, accountability, and commitment to financial governance and regulatory compliance.
  • Professional working proficiency in Mandarin Chinese is required to support communication with regional headquarters. Professional proficiency in English is also required.
