We have several offices in Central and Southern England and have ambitious plans to expand our business. We have a new opportunity for a **Corporate Tax Assistant Manager** to join our **Farnham** Corporate Tax team. This is a permanent full-time role with hybrid and flexible working options.

**The Role**

Your key responsibilities will include

  • Preparing corporation tax computations for our most complex clients and reviewing corporation tax computations prepared by more junior tax staff and accounts teams. These cover a wide variety of clients including trading companies, non-resident landlords, overseas companies managed and controlled from the UK, UK subsidiaries of larger overseas groups, investment companies, etc
  • Working with tax partners to support clients with a range of tax advisory work including mergers and acquisitions, tax due diligence, restructures, demergers and succession planning management buyouts, research and development claims, capital allowance claims, and international tax issues such as corporate residence, withholding taxes and Pillar 2
  • Involvement in bespoke advisory work including the wider tax implications for the company owners.
  • Drafting reports and advisory letters for clients
  • Assisting with the training of less experienced members of the team
  • Involvement in potential new client meetings, being part of the team to bring them on board and support the ongoing relationship
  • Ensuring assignments are completed to a high standard, on time and within budgets

**About You**

  • ACA/ACCA/CTA qualified with at least 3 years’ tax or accounts experience in a UK practice environment
  • Driven to achieve a varied career, based on continual learning and problem-solving
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and client management skills
  • Able to produce high-quality work in a fast-paced environment
  • Team player
  • Confident, positive, professional and can-do attitude
  • Strong IT skills, specifically Excel and able to pick up new IT packages very quickly
  • Create a positive impression with clients and staff
