**The Opportunity**
A leading audit and assurance company is seeking a Corporate Tax Manager to join their organization in a pivotal role. You will operate at the intersection of business income tax planning, corporate compliance, and **ASC 740 income tax accounting**. This role offers high-level visibility, allowing you to manage primary tax relationships for major clients while leveraging the resources of our Washington National Tax Office (WNTO).
**Key Responsibilities**
- **Engagement Management:** Lead client engagements from start to finish—planning, executing, and completing tax projects while managing budgets and realization.
- **Technical Oversight:** Conduct primary reviews of ASC 740 income tax provision engagements and corporate tax returns; identify tax savings opportunities and process improvements.
- **Team Leadership:** Supervise, mentor, and train senior associates and interns; perform "in-charge" roles and conduct performance reviews.
- **Strategic Advisory:** Research complex tax matters and respond to inquiries from the IRS and state authorities; act as a key advisor to client management.
- **Business Development:** Identify and capitalize on opportunities to expand services for existing and prospective clients.
**Required Qualifications (Must-Haves)**
- **Education:** Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
- **Licensure:** Active **CPA (State of Florida)** or reciprocity; or a **JD/Active Law License**.
- **Experience:** 4–7 years of progressive corporate tax compliance and/or consulting experience.
- **Technical Pedigree:** Recent experience within a **Top 15 Public Accounting firm**.
- **ASC 740 Mastery:** Proven experience in ASC 740 provision preparation, review, and audit support for large, multi-state or global companies.
- **Location:** Commitment to the hybrid schedule (3 days/week) in Fort Lauderdale.
**Preferred Qualifications (Nice-to-Haves)**
- **Industry Experience:** Exposure to Manufacturing, Tech, Pharma, Food & Beverage, Engineering, or Telecom.
- **Software Proficiency:** Hands-on experience with **OneSource Tax Provision (OTP)**.
- **Career Stability:** A history of steady career progression.
- **Industry Transitions:** Candidates who left public accounting 2–3 years ago for an industry role are encouraged to apply.
