**About the Opportunity**

Bryant Staffing Solutions (our recruitment partner) is partnering with a nationally recognized professional services firm seeking a **Corporate Tax Manager** to join its Methods, Credits & Incentives (MCI) practice, focused on Research & Development (R&D) tax credits.

In this role, you will guide clients through the complexities of federal and state R&D tax regulations, ensuring compliance while identifying valuable tax-saving opportunities. You will lead engagements, supervise project teams, and collaborate with leadership on both technical delivery and business development initiatives.

This is a hybrid opportunity offering flexibility and exposure to a diverse client base across industries such as technology, life sciences, manufacturing, construction, real estate, hospitality, and nonprofit.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Lead and manage R&D tax credit studies from planning through delivery
  • Conduct on-site client visits, facility tours, and technical interviews
  • Analyze financial data, prepare cost schedules, and perform tax computations
  • Research federal and state R&D tax regulations and relevant case law
  • Review and amend tax returns as needed
  • Oversee multiple engagements to ensure projects are completed on time and within scope
  • Support proposal development and contribute to business growth initiatives
  • Mentor and supervise junior team members
  • Travel to client sites as required

**Required Qualifications**

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field
  • Active CPA license **or** active JD/Attorney license (EA certification not accepted)
  • 6-10 years of experience in R&D tax credits (Fixed Asset or Tax Accounting Methods experience also considered)
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in public accounting or consulting
  • Prior project management experience
  • Strong understanding of federal and select state R&D tax regulations
  • Experience amending tax returns
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Willingness to travel and work additional hours when needed

**Preferred Qualifications**

  • Master's or Ph.D. in Economics, Statistics, Public Policy, Mathematics, Finance, Engineering, or related quantitative field
  • Experience serving clients in technology, manufacturing, life sciences, construction, hospitality, or nonprofit sectors
