From the employerAs a Customs Entry Writer you play a critical role in ensuring our customers’
imports move smoothly, compliantly, and on time. You will manage end‑to‑end
customs brokerage operations for a dedicated portfolio of accounts, partnering
closely with customers, carriers, government agencies, and internal teams.

What You’ll Do
- You will take ownership of daily customs brokerage operations for assigned
customers, including
- Serve as a trusted point of contact for customers, responding to questions
and providing timely, accurate shipment updates
- Prepare and process U.S. Customs entries and Partner Government Agency (PGA)
filings, ensuring full regulatory compliance
- Open and manage entry files in alignment with defined KPIs and service
standards
- Coordinate shipment clearance with freight forwarders, steamship lines,
airlines, and container freight stations (CFS) to ensure timely release
- Track and trace inbound shipments from port or airport through final delivery
- Ensure all required documentation and entry packages are accurately uploaded
into operating systems
- Complete customer billing, delivery orders, and required operational reports
- Maintain and update customer Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as needed
- Collaborate closely with teammates and cross‑functional partners to support
coverage, cross‑training, and peak‑volume needs

- CHB systems and technology vendors
Required / Preferred Qualifications
- 6–12 months of customs brokerage or related industry experience
- At least 2 years in a CHB or operational support environment preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and comfortable working under pressure
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment
- Team‑focused mindset with a strong sense of ownership and accountability
- Bachelor’s degree preferred (or equivalent work experience)
- Customs House Broker License preferred but not required
Salary
- $56,000 - $60,000*
