Job Description
- Handles the overview of classifications provided by clients to ensure they are correct.
- Reviews import documentation to ensure they are complete and compliant.
Ensures workload is prioritized with arrival times into U.S. Port of Entry.
Expedites entries through U.S. Customs.
Submits entry documentation and/or compliance information to CBP on FTZ entries and other partner government agencies (USDA, FDA, FWS, etc.) when required.
Works directly with CBP, PGA, steamship lines, terminal operators, and truckers to resolve any clearance problems at piers and warehouses.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's desired
Minimum 5 years' experience
Domestic rail experience
Experience with entries of general cargo, organic foods, perishables, medical device entries, fish and wildlife, cosmetics, and USDA/APHIS
Professional verbal and written communication skills knowledge and experience
Sound analytical abilities and acute attention to detail required
Proficient in Microsoft office products
Extensive knowledge of CargoWise
