Overview
- Are you a seasoned accounting leader who combines deep technical expertise with
- a talent for building teams, working hands-on and scaling processes? We're
- looking for a Director, Accounting & Tax to take ownership of our global
- accounting operations, tax and treasury, and to build a finance engine that can
- support Scandit's next phase of growth.
- Reporting to the Senior Director, Group Controlling, you will lead our General
- Accounting, Accounts Payable and Tax & Treasury functions, and act as deputy
- across the wider Controlling organization. You'll manage and develop a
- multidisciplinary team, own the integrity of our books, and partner closely with
- FP&A, Revenue & Order-to-Cash, external auditors and advisors. This is a
- high-impact leadership role for someone who wants to shape how a fast-growing,
- international company runs its accounting.
- Your opportunity
- Own the month-end, quarter-end and year-end close, including multi-currency
consolidation and intercompany accounting ensuring a timely, accurate and
well-controlled financial close across all entities
- Lead, mentor and develop the Accounting and Accounts Payable teams, raising
the bar on technical skills, ownership and career growth
- Own group tax compliance, including corporate income tax, VAT and transfer
pricing operations, working closely with external advisors across
jurisdictions
- Oversee day-to-day treasury operations, including cash management, FX
exposure and cash-flow forecasting
- Act as deputy to the Senior Director Group Controlling, stepping in on group
controlling and governance matters as needed
- Ensure accurate and timely accounts payable and vendor management, with
robust controls throughout the procure-to-pay cycle
- Develop, document and scale accounting policies, processes and internal
controls to keep pace with the company's growth
- Perform technical accounting research (IFRS, US GAAP and/or Swiss GAAP FER)
and translate conclusions into accounting positions, memos and day-to-day
practice
- Lead the annual statutory and ad hoc audits, ensuring compliance with
statutory and regulatory requirements in all relevant jurisdictions
- Drive continuous improvement of our ERP and finance systems, automating
manual processes and improving data quality
- Partner cross-functionally to deliver clean, reliable financials and
actionable insight to senior leadership
- Take a leading role in projects, such as system implementations and
establishment-and integration of new legal entities
Who we look for
- 10+ years of progressive experience in accounting, consolidation and tax,
including several years leading and developing teams. Experience working in
external audit is a plus.
- A recognized professional qualification (e.g. CPA, ACCA or equivalent)
- Strong technical accounting knowledge (IFRS, US GAAP, and/or Swiss GAAP FER)
in a multi-entity, international environment
- Solid tax expertise across corporate tax, transfer pricing, VAT and other
indirect taxes, ideally with international exposure
- Experience owning or overseeing treasury and cash management
- A track record of scaling accounting operations and strengthening internal
controls in a high-growth company, ideally SaaS or B2B technology
- Hands-on experience with NetSuite (or a comparable ERP system) and other
tools such as accounting transformation platforms, P2P transformation
platforms etc.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, comfortable
partnering with leadership and external auditors and advisors
- A proactive, process-oriented leader with a continuous improvement mindset,
open to embracing the opportunities presented by agentic AI
- Business fluent English required, both written and spoken
