About this role Aidoc is looking for a highly sophisticated Director of Tax and Treasury - a definitive subject matter expert on complex financial, tax, and accounting matters. This is a high-impact individual contributor role reporting directly to the VP of Finance, designed for a sophisticated problem-solver who can navigate ambiguous, cross-functional challenges where there is rarely a single right answer.
The core of this role is owning Aidoc’s Tax and Treasury but the function will also span accounting policy, and end-to-end equity management. Beyond that steady-state ownership, you will serve as a trusted internal advisor—taking on ad-hoc complex initiatives and corporate projects that sit at the intersection of finance, legal, product, and business strategy. These are complex problems that need an expert owner.
You will also be external-facing when it matters most: presenting and defending Aidoc’s financial positions to investors, auditors, and counterparties as the company scales toward its next phase of growth.
Responsibilities
Policy Ownership & Deployment Own, develop, and continuously update Aidoc’s tax & financial policies. This means not just establishing the frameworks, but ensuring teams across the organization understand and operate within them—and revisiting them as the business evolves. Build and maintain the global financial policy including our tax and accounting, considering business alignment and risk assessments.
Drive policy adoption: translate complex technical guidance into operational practice, and ensure clear communication to stakeholders around the ‘why’ behind each policy Work closely with Legal, Accounting, and external advisors and represent Aidoc externally on finance-related matters in fundraising, M&A due diligence, and IPO readiness processes Treasury & Equity / Cap Table Own and operate these domain with precision, sophistication and policy-thinking.
Build and maintain Aidoc’s investment and hedging policies; execute FX risk management and cash optimization strategies Manage corporate banking relationships and oversee currency liquidity operations Own equity and cap table-related financial management end-to-end: cap table governance, equity compliance, administration of grants and exercises, management of the equity planning pool (including headroom modeling, grant planning, and refresh cycles), dilution monitoring, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders on equity-linked transactions Ad-Hoc Complex Initiatives & Corporate Projects A significant portion of this role involves being the go-to for high-stakes, non-recurring projects that require deep financial judgment Partner with the organization to assess the financial implications of new products, business models, and strategic transactions, ensuring that the right tax position, accounting treatment and compliance framework are established before decisions are made.
Examples include structured partnership agreements (with R&D, and commercial initiatives), R&D capitalization, and new business model launches.
Requirements
10+ years of
experience
in professional finance: tax, technical accounting, or a combination, ideally within a high-growth global technology company or a Big 4 / advisory firm serving similar clients A proven track record of working through complex, ambiguous problems with no single right answer: you weigh competing considerations, make trade-offs, and drive to a defensible conclusion Deep technical fluency across at least one of: international tax, technical accounting (USGAAP), or structured transactions - combined with genuine curiosity and working knowledge of the others
Experience
building policies from scratch and operationalizing them - you don’t just document; you ensure adoption and follow-through Strong cross-functional instincts: you know how to work with Legal, R&D, Product, and business teams, translating finance

into practical guidance they can act on.
