Employment Tax Manager

Employment Tax Compliance & Governance
•Support the development, implementation and maintenance of employment tax
frameworks, controls and governance processes.
•Monitor legislative and regulatory developments and prepare impact assessments
for review with Regional Leads.
•Track global employment tax requirements and identified risks, including those
relating to payroll, benefits, equity, expenses and business travellers.
•Support Regional Leads in maintaining compliance with employment tax reporting
and filing obligations.
•Prepare documentation, analysis and recommendations to support employment tax
decision-making.
•
Payroll Tax Compliance & Controls
•Review and test payroll and related processes to support accurate employment
tax and social security treatment.
•Identify control gaps, compliance risks and process inefficiencies and
recommend practical improvements.
•Partner with Payroll, HR and Finance teams to improve tax reporting accuracy
and strengthen compliance controls.
•Support employment tax reporting activities, including data collection,
validation, reconciliation and analysis.
•
Audit & Risk Management
•Support Regional Leads during internal and external employment tax audits,
authority reviews and regulatory enquiries.
•Collate, review and maintain audit documentation and supporting evidence.
•Track audit actions, remediation activities and risk mitigation plans.
•Support identification, assessment and monitoring of employment tax risks.
•
Tax Calculations & Technical Support
•Prepare and review employment tax calculations, including gross-up, tax
reimbursement and net-to-gross calculations.
•Analyse compensation and payroll data to support tax reporting and individual
tax return processes.
•Coordinate tax data requirements with external advisors and service providers.
•Support Regional Leads on employment tax considerations throughout the employee
lifecycle.
•
Operational & Strategic Support
•Support delivery of global employment tax strategies, projects and compliance
initiatives.
•Maintain global risk matrices, process maps, RACI documentation and governance
trackers.
•Maintain a central repository of technical guidance, external advisor positions
and agreed regional approaches.
•Support the development and maintenance of global employment tax policies,
standards and guidance materials.
•Coordinate and oversee day-to-day employment tax activities, including
responses to stakeholder queries and operational matters, ensuring timely
resolution and escalation to Regional Leads where appropriate.
•
Stakeholder & Vendor Management
•Collaborate with HR, Payroll, Finance, Legal, Corporate Tax and external
providers to gather information and resolve employment tax matters.
•Coordinate and track responses to employment tax queries from stakeholders
globally.
•Support delivery of training, guidance and awareness materials for HR and
business stakeholders.
•Coordinate activities and deliverables with external tax service providers.
•
Process Improvement & Technology
•Support process improvement, automation and standardisation initiatives across
the global employment tax function.
•Participate in system enhancements relating to tax reporting, compliance
monitoring and data management.
•Develop reporting and tracking tools to improve visibility of compliance
obligations, risks and project deliverables.

Reporting & Tracking
•Maintain global trackers covering compliance obligations, tax filings, audit
activities, risk actions and key projects.
•Prepare regular reporting, dashboards and updates for Regional Leads and senior
stakeholders.
Knowledge & Experience
•Bachelor's degree with 5 years Employment tax, payroll tax or global mobility
tax working experience.
•Understanding of payroll processes and employment tax compliance requirements.
•Experience working across multiple countries or jurisdictions preferred.
•Experience managing projects, reporting and compliance activities.
