Job Description

Main Responsibilities: • Be part of a customs team assisting with provision of Customs compliance services for internal goods movement • Support Compliance controls for EUDR, performing internal audits for DDS submission on customs declarations by collecting and reviewing import customs declarations for MEU • Handling of operational customs queries /issues with DDS • Support day to day Transport Operations with smooth customs clearance process • Submitting Customs documentation amendments • Liaising and cooperating with Customs brokers / Customs Authorities • Monitor customs agent network and provide EUDR training & onboarding to customs agencies • Maintaining written WoW/SOP procedures & customs instructions / EUDR newsletters • Assisting with Customs Projects • Developing and implementing company policies and procedures designed to achieve full compliance with Customs EU laws and regulations, including for tariff classification, Free Trade Agreements, special import programs, import & export documentation

requirements

• Assisting with the development of a digital platform for customs if required • Support the business by providing costs effective solutions to import and export issues • General knowledge sharing of Customs importing/exporting (WCO/UCC) • Sustain knowledge maintenance of Customs regulations • Liaise with the following business partners: MU - plant teams / BU / DCs / WHs / supplier-carriers / Customs Agents

Experience

required: • Extensive knowledge of customs Laws and Regulations • Action oriented, proactive and resourceful in solving problems • Can-do attitude and ability to work in a fast-paced environment • Demonstrated ability and self-motivation to excel within an environment of change • University Degree • Strong ability to assess customs

duties

and taxes for shipments • Excellent attention to detail and analysis • Fluent English written and spoken, effective and professional email writing

skills

• Confidence with working across multiple locations, able to influence and partner with remote manager • Strong oral and written communication

skills

Experience

of SAP, any customs management software advantage • 3-5 years

experience
