We are seeking an experienced Senior Income Tax Analyst to support the corporate income tax accounting and compliance functions, with an emphasis on state and local income and franchise tax matters and process improvement related thereto. In this role, you will apply your tax expertise and technological acumen to help meet tax accounting and compliance obligations, streamline tax operations, track and account for legislative changes, and collaborate across the organization. If you are analytical, proactive, and continuous-improvement oriented, with state and local income tax experience in areas such as apportionment, nexus evaluation, audits, controversy resolution, and/or planning – you should apply!

What You Will Do

  • Perform federal, state, and local income and franchise tax accounting and compliance activities, including preparation and review of tax returns, extensions, estimated tax payments, apportionment calculations, elections, and supporting workpapers.
  • Research and analyze complex state and local income tax matters, including nexus, apportionment, filing methodologies, business activity, tax law changes, and compliance risks, and document conclusions and recommendations.
  • Support federal, state, and local income tax audits, notices, examinations, and controversy matters, including interactions with taxing authorities, external advisors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Evaluate the federal and state income tax implications of business transactions, legal entity changes, supply chain initiatives, acquisitions, restructurings, and other strategic projects.
  • Support tax credit and incentive programs, including identification, calculation, documentation, and compliance requirements.
  • Prepare and review tax account reconciliations, income tax analyses, and supporting schedules for management and financial reporting purposes, and assist with income tax provision activities as needed.
  • Monitor federal and state legislative and regulatory developments and assess their impact on the Company's tax positions, filing obligations, and business activities.
  • Help drive continuous improvement through tax process optimization, automation, and effective use of tax technology solutions, including OneSource and Microsoft-based data and workflow tools.
  • Collaborate with Accounting, Finance, Legal, Treasury, Information Technology, Operations, and external service providers to resolve tax issues and support business initiatives.
  • Review selected work prepared by less-experienced team members/contractors and provide technical guidance, training, and mentorship.
  • Support tax-related internal controls, K-SOX requirements, governance documentation, and internal and external audit requests.

What We Look For

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field; CPA and/or master's degree in taxation, accounting, or a related discipline preferred
  • 5+ years of corporate income tax experience; experience within a multinational corporation or national public accounting firm is a plus.
  • Experience in state and local income taxation, including multistate apportionment, nexus analysis, state tax audits or controversies, credits and incentives, and/or SALT consulting, is a plus.
  • Experience with OneSource Income Tax, OneSource Tax Provision, and/or comparable corporate tax technology platforms.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with Microsoft Power Platform and/or other data-driven tax reporting tools is a plus.
