Tax & Audit Associate - Real Estate

Do you have an interest in international tax work and external audit in the real estate area? We are currently seeking a full-time Real Estate Tax and Audit Associate to join our team in our Atlanta, GA office!
Workplace and Start Date: This position will be on-site in our Atlanta office with a start date of January 2027.
Responsibilities
- Prepare Federal and state, primarily partnership and individual non-resident income tax returns
Support senior team members to ensure compliance with tax deadlines
Perform technical tax research on a variety of Federal and state tax topics
Perform audit engagements with a concentration on real estate
Prepare clear, concise workpapers and other communications
Conduct technical accounting research on a variety of accounting topics
Participate in staff trainings and stay up-to-date with new audit regulations and tax laws
Maintain active communication with senior team members and clients in a professional and timely manner
Manage priorities and provide timely status updates to the team regularly
Desired Skills & Experience
- 0-1+ years of professional Federal and state income tax or external audit experience, including experience in public accounting
Experience in preparing partnership and individual tax returns
BA/BS degree in Accounting or Master’s degree in Accounting/Taxation
Excellent research, writing, and communication skills in English
Process-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Solid organizational skills with the ability to multitask
CPA license or working toward a similar certification preferred
Experience in taxation or audits of real estate investments and related projects
ProSystem fx Engagement and CCH Axcess experience
