POSITION SUMMARY:   Responsible for supporting the Tax Director and SVP-Tax with

all tax compliance reporting with respect to NCM’s (“The Company”) federal,

state/local income and non-income tax returns, initial drafting of responses to

tax authorities, and for conducting initial tax research.  Also responsible for

assisting in preparation of the Company’s income tax accounting including

preparation of the Company’s quarterly and annual income tax provision in

accordance with ASC 740.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Essential duties and responsibilities may include, but are

not limited to, the following

  • Support Tax Director and SVP-Tax with the Company’s federal and state/local

tax return compliance reporting

  • Preparation of federal tax return workbooks for INC and LLC utilizing the

detail tax information in the year-end tax provision as a starting point

  • Compilation of state and local sales sourcing workbook for LLC
  • Ready state allocation & apportionment workpapers for INC and LLC
  • Primarily responsible for maintaining state bonus depreciation workbook and

track all other state adjustments

  • Collaborate on all federal and state/local estimated tax payments and

vouchers

  • Help maintain the Company tax calendar with due dates for all returns,

estimated payments and other regulatory tax filings.

  • Responsible for processing, e-filing and paper filing of all returns and

payments and proper document retention

  • As directed, support the Tax Director in drafting responses to tax

jurisdiction notices

  • Support the Tax Director and SVP-Tax with quarterly and yearly tax ASC 740

calculation preparation

  • Load final pre-tax book income financial statement information – trial

balances and GL detail into the provision model.

  • Rollforward all workpapers and update as needed
  • Update tax basis intangible information for the ESA-CUA assets and the IRC §

743(b) and IRC §734(b) adjustments.  Tie-out NBV intangible basis and

identify unexpected differences.

  • Rollforward detailed deferred item schedules (gross amounts and

tax-effected).

  • Prepare the rate reconciliation workpapers
  • Work with the Tax Director to make sure the correct deferred and current

blended state and federal rates are reflected within the provision

workpapers

  • Prepare fixed asset detailed tax roll forward for regular, state and E&P

books.

  • Compile share-based comp workpapers and related schedules in the provision

workpapers.

  • Scheduling out all return-to-provision adjustments including those to the

NOLS and populating the corresponding provision workpapers

  • All 163(j) excess business interest expense calculations for LLC and the NCMI

affiliate group

  • Incorporate into the provision any incremental items – for 2025 this consists

primarily of reflecting the tax treatment of the April 2025 AMC JV

Termination agreement and the new Exhibitor Services Agreement signed with

AMC.

  • Assist the Tax Director and SVP-Tax with the preparation of the TRA Liability

workpapers and incorporation of the workpapers into the provision.

  • Draft preliminary Schedule 10-K tax disclosures
  • Coordinate with the Senior Director of Financial Reporting and SVP-Tax to

make sure the schedule 10-K tax disclosure is updated and correct

  • Clear all check figures, diagnostics and review notes (Tax Director’s,

SVP-Tax’s and EY’s)

  • Assist with SOX documentation, quarterly memos and analysis as directed
  • Support the Tax Director with responding to audit information document

requests and notifications of proposed audit adjustments

  • Conduct basic tax research on the Company’s tax positions
  • Research, identify and compile initial tax research as directed
  • Assist with initial drafting of documentation and supporting analysis as

needed

QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge of/Skilled in

  • Basic understanding of ASC 740 “Accounting for Income Taxes”
  • General knowledge of the federal income taxation of corporations and

shareholders

  • Familiarity with the federal taxation of partners and partnerships
  • Versed in general concepts of multi-state taxation including determination of

tax base, state adjustments, allocation & apportionment of the state tax

base, and sourcing of sales service revenue

  • Must be able to balance materiality, quality, and timeliness of work product

Experience and Training

Any combination of the following experience and training (designated as required

and/or preferred) that would provide the required knowledge and abilities is

qualifying.

Experience

  • Big Four or other national public accounting firm experience preferred

(minimum 3-5 years overall experience required).

  • Corporate, partnership and multi-state tax experience required

Education

  • Undergraduate degree in accounting required.
  • Master’s in Taxation or LLM preferred but not required

Licensure / Certification

  • CPA/CPA candidate preferred but not required

Software Proficiency

  • ONESOURCE
  • Microsoft Excel and Word

WORKING CONDITIONS

Hybrid Work Arrangement

This position will be in the office initially till the candidate learns the job

and can work successfully on their own.  After that a hybrid schedule of 3 days

in the office and 2 days remote may be approved.

Environmental Conditions

This job operates in a professional office environment.  This role routinely

uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and

filing cabinets.

Physical Conditions

SALARY RANGE & BENEFIT OPTIONS FOR COLORADO APPLICANTS

Salary Range: Base Salary of approximately $105,000 - $140,000 annually plus

bonus - compensation is commensurate with skills & experience.
