The Staff Tax Accountant is responsible for supporting the Company's tax

compliance, reporting, planning, and audit activities by researching and

analyzing tax-related accounts, preparing tax filings, reconciling tax accounts,

and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders. This role exercises

independent judgment in evaluating tax issues, prioritizing filing requirements,

analyzing financial information, and ensuring compliance with federal, state,

and local tax regulations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Analyze transaction tax activity and apply applicable tax regulations to

prepare and file various tax returns, including sales and use tax, property

tax, and other indirect tax filings.

  • Review and prepare Provided By Client (PBC) documentation during tax audits,

reconcile supporting records, and respond to auditor requests.

  • Support quarterly and annual tax provision processes under ASC 740/SFAS 109

by analyzing tax data, preparing schedules, and identifying items requiring

further review.

  • Prepare year-end tax compliance schedules, including M-1 calculations and

supporting tax information.

  • Assist with quarterly tax estimates and projections by analyzing financial

activity, identifying variances, and escalating issues as necessary.

  • Research tax issues and prepare draft responses to federal, state, and local

tax notices, including supporting documentation and recommended actions.

  • Coordinate with external tax advisors and internal departments to prioritize

requests, resolve routine tax questions, and ensure timely compliance.

  • Prepare recurring and general month-end journal entries related to tax

transactions.

  • Reconcile tax-related balance sheet accounts on a monthly, quarterly, and

annual basis.

  • Partner with accounting staff and cross-functional teams to meet reporting

deadlines and support overall accounting operations.

  • Perform additional tax and accounting duties as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Minimum of 1+ years of tax accounting experience preferred.
  • Understanding of tax compliance, tax reporting, and general accounting

principles.

  • Experience with sales and use tax, property tax, tax provisions, tax audits,

and tax reconciliations preferred.

  • Ability to analyze financial data, identify discrepancies, and resolve issues

independently.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines

and priorities.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

  • This position does not have direct supervisory responsibilities.
  • The role is performed in an office or remote office environment and requires

extended computer use.

  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and confidentiality are critical for

success.

  • The successful candidate must be able to manage competing priorities while

maintaining compliance with tax regulations and company policies.
