We are looking for a **Global Trade Compliance Manager** to lead Signify’s global trade compliance strategy, governance and transformation agenda from Eindhoven.

This high-impact leadership role sits at the intersection of Supply Chain, Legal, Tax, Finance, Logistics, IT and the business. You will define global standards, policies, systems and controls across export controls, sanctions, customs, and dangerous goods transportation.

As regional teams own execution, the global team sets direction, governance and program standards. Your mandate is to strengthen the framework, build the roadmap, lead a small expert team, and make trade compliance a practical business enabler. You will also play a visible role in technology and process transformation, including S/4HANA and emerging AI capabilities.

Key Areas of Responsibility

• Define and lead the global trade compliance strategy, governance framework, policies and standards covering export controls, customs, sanctions and dangerous goods.
• Establish global trade compliance processes, systems and control frameworks, ensuring consistent implementation across all businesses and regions.
• Lead and develop the global Trade Compliance organization, including the Global Program Managers and Global Dangerous Goods Manager.
• Monitor regulatory developments and drive timely adaptation of policies, standards and processes to ensure ongoing compliance.
• Oversee the global trade compliance program, including training, awareness, monitoring and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Serve as the global subject matter expert for trade compliance, advising senior leadership and business stakeholders on regulatory risks and strategic decisions.

Critical Experiences

• 10+ years of experience in trade compliance, customs, export controls, sanctions, dangerous goods, international logistics or supply chain compliance in a multinational environment.
• Experience working in a complex international company, ideally in manufacturing, electronics, lighting, industrial technology, health technology, logistics, high-tech or another regulated product environment.
• Strong working knowledge of export controls, sanctions, customs classification, origin, valuation, licensing, trade agreements and dangerous goods requirements. Exposure to EU, US and major Asia trade regimes is a strong advantage.
• Designed, implemented or improved trade compliance frameworks, policies, controls, training programs or audit processes across multiple countries or regions.
• Experienced people leader who can stabilise, develop and energise a small expert team.
• Knows how to influence in a matrix organisation. You can align regional teams, functional experts and senior stakeholders even when you do not directly own operational execution.
• Can translate complex regulatory topics into clear business recommendations, risk-based decisions and practical process improvements.
• Experience with ERP and trade compliance systems such as SAP, SAP GTS, S/4HANA or comparable tools. Experience with dashboards, analytics, automation or AI-enabled compliance use cases is a strong plus.
• Strong stakeholder-management skills and can partner effectively with Supply Chain, Legal, Tax, Finance, Procurement, Logistics, IT, Sales and external parties such as brokers, advisors and authorities.
• Holds a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain, International Trade, Business Administration, Law, Engineering, Logistics or a related discipline.
• Communicates fluently in English, both written and spoken.
