For our Tax division in London we are looking to hire a

International Tax Manger -

Your role in the team

You will join our International Tax team, playing a key role in supporting the tax affairs of both our UK and US offices. This is a varied role, offering the opportunity to work across a broad range of direct tax matters, including partnership tax, transfer pricing and international tax.

You will work closely with senior management and teams across the business, providing input on new business activities, identifying tax risks and opportunities, and contributing to wider advisory and strategic pro-jects. You will also collaborate closely with our German Head Office and build strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.

As an integral member of a small team, you will have genuine ownership and visibility, while also supporting and developing our placement student. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, collaboration and making a meaningful contribution within a dynamic financial services environment.

What will you do?

  • Support and lead on day-to-day tax compliance requirements across a range of taxes including Partner-ship tax, transfer pricing and International tax for both our UK and US offices
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams on systems strategy, including technology solutions
  • Assessing new business activities and services for direct tax implications
  • Pro-actively identify tax risks and opportunities within Berenberg
  • Collaborate closely with the German head office
  • Build and maintain internal and external stakeholder relationships
  • Assist with ad hoc advisory and project work

Who are we looking for?

  • Fully qualified Accountant – CTA, ACA, ACCA or qualified by experience
  • Strong technical ability with a good knowledge of UK tax.
  • Experience in International Tax desired
  • Ability to form good working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders
  • Ability to digest Tax technical guidance and communicate to non-Tax technical colleagues
  • Proficient user of Outlook and other standard Office programmes (XL/Word)
  • Strong project management skills
  • Positive attitude with a desire to drive constant improvement and change
