This position is responsible for managing accounting operations, financial reporting, compliance, budgeting, and financial analysis to support business operations and decision-making. You will oversee invoicing, payroll coordination, statutory compliance, financial reporting, and profitability analysis while ensuring adherence to accounting standards and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and capable of managing financial processes efficiently in a dynamic work environment.

**Responsibilities:**

  • Prepare invoicing as per contractual terms to ensure accuracy and timely processing
  • Perform data collection, validation, and analysis to ensure completeness, consistency, and accuracy of financial datasets
  • Prepare and discuss client budgets with Client Directors, including reviews for promotions, rate changes, and title changes
  • Monitor accounts receivable and follow up with customers to ensure timely payments
  • Ensure accurate balances across profit and loss accounts as well as balance sheet accounts
  • Review monthly financial statements in compliance with accounting standards
  • Ensure month-end and year-end closing activities are completed in accordance with accounting standards and regulatory compliance requirements
  • Oversee payroll processing across operations to ensure timely and accurate processing and compliance with employment-related regulations
  • Prepare budgets, profitability reports, forecasts, and other financial projections
  • Support the Finance Manager with research and comparison analysis for system and tool selection and implementation
  • Assist the Finance Manager with accounting-related issues, data analysis tasks, and special projects
  • Review annual financial reports, year-end entries, and reports related to tax filings and audits
  • Generate financial reports and statements for management and interpret findings to identify changes, risks, issues, and trends related to assets, liabilities, tax liabilities, profitability, and other financial activities
  • Oversee documentation related to statutory compliance, processes, and employee benefits to ensure timely updates for operations staff and employees
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure financial processes and reporting requirements are aligned across departments
  • Continuously review and improve financial processes, reporting practices, and operational efficiency

**The ideal candidate should have the following skills and experience**

**Technical Qualifications:**

  • Experience working with CA in preparing all relevant annual reports and filings for compliance
  • Experience in MS Excel with proficiency in VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, data standardization, verification, and manipulation
  • Experience with data modeling, financial forecasting, budgeting, and profitability analysis
  • Experience using data analysis concepts and working with large disjoint datasets
  • Experience generating data views and summaries using charts and diagrams for easier understanding
  • Experience using logical thinking to formulate conclusions based on data
  • Proficient with accounting software like Tally
  • Proficient with year-end closing, preparation, and filing of financial reports and tax returns
  • Knowledge of accounting software like QuickBooks

**Education and Work Experience:**

  • Inter-CA / MBA (Finance) preferred
  • Minimum 8+ years in accounting/finance functions
