The role involves driving team performance, overseeing complex projects, improving operational efficiency, and collaborating with global teams to meet business objectives. The Manager is expected to provide strategic direction, mentor team members, and ensure adherence to KPIs, SLAs, and quality standards. Additionally, the Manager will be responsible for understanding federal and state information reporting and tax withholding rules and regulations and to manage large scale reviews of client information reports for the purposes of determining any potential tax/penalty exposure.
The Manager will also be responsible for reviewing client payroll and information reporting processes and controls, to identify areas of potential exposure and to make recommendations for process improvement. Lead, mentor, and develop Team Leads and consultants to achieve business goals.
Establish performance benchmarks and monitor team productivity and efficiency. Drive training initiatives and knowledge management to ensure process consistency. Provide continuous feedback and support career development of team members.
Collaborate with India and US leadership for strategic initiatives and team alignment. Manage resource planning, workload distribution, and succession planning. Client Own and ensure delivery of SLAs, KPIs, and client commitments.
Act as primary point of contact for stakeholders across India and US. Oversee project execution, ensuring quality, accuracy, and timeliness. Drive client satisfaction through proactive communication and issue resolution.
Develop and review reports, dashboards, and project metrics for stakeholders. Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices. Monitor quality trends and implement corrective and preventive actions.
Value Manages and monitors all aspects of Employment Tax projects. Oversee data extraction, transformation, validation, and reconciliation processes. Ensure accuracy and integrity of reports and deliverables.
Analyze complex datasets and present actionable insights to stakeholders. Drive automation, process optimization, and efficiency improvements. Ensure proper documentation of processes, workflows, and controls.
Support leadership in strategic planning, workflow management, and capacity planning. Manage multiple high-priority projects in a deadline-driven environment. Maintain confidentiality and compliance with regulatory and company standards.
Performs other duties as assigned. Education and Experience: Master’s or bachelor’s degree in finance / commerce / accounting / business / technology. 11+ years of experience in U.
S. Employment/Payroll Tax or related domain. Prior experience in team management and stakeholder handling is mandatory.
Computer Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft® Excel, Word, Access, and Outlook. Strong expertise in data analysis, reporting tools, and internet research. Certificates and Licenses: EA Certification will be a plus Supervisory Responsibilities: Directly supervises employees in the Employment Tax practice and carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the Firm’s policies and applicable laws.
Work Environment: Standard indoor working environment. Flexible to work in shifts aligned with US time zones. Requires collaboration with global teams (India and US).
Ability to work extended hours during peak periods.
