Indirect Tax Senior is responsible for assisting and coordinating on all aspects
of the global indirect tax function, focused on developing and carrying out
WWE's global tax strategy. This includes responsibilities in the areas of
forecasting of cash tax payments, and coordinating with global tax planning and
business support, global tax authority engagement, and collaboration with
external consultants in fulfilling WWE's financial reporting and tax compliance
commitments including assisting with the implementation of scalable indirect tax
processes and solutions, and to be a subject matter expert. You will be
primarily responsible for coordinating and reviewing US sales and use tax, VAT,
and GST for the company and its affiliates, including compliance, research, and
business support. Reporting to the VP of Tax and working closely with Senior Tax
Managers within the TKO Group, this professional will have an attention to
detail and is driven by process improvement, with a focus on risk and
operational management of the indirect tax landscape.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Assist and coordinate all global indirect tax compliance and reporting by
teaming with internal and external partners
- Ensure indirect tax returns and payments are timely filed/paid for all the
domestic and foreign jurisdictions that the company operates, which will
include working with local tax advisors that do the filings/payments in
certain foreign jurisdictions
- Assist the Talent Relations team by working cross functionally on talent
related withholding tax matters, for US and non-US events
- Review all indirect tax notices, resolve and respond to local tax authorities
accordingly
- Assist with all aspects of global indirect tax audits to help drive an
efficient and timely resolution
- Maintain compliance with existing internal controls around key indirect tax
processes and systems
- Perform tax research as necessary to ensure appropriate sales tax rates are
being charged appropriately on various revenue streams in the US, including
but not limited to events, sponsorships, broadcasts, memberships and
merchandise
- Review and process all indirect tax journal entries prepared by the
outsourced indirect tax accountants
- Review tax balance sheet account reconciliations for applicable accounts and
ensure accounts are reconciled timely and reconciling items are resolved
timely
- Assist and coordinate all US local business license filings prepared by
outsourced indirect tax accountants to ensure they are filed and paid timely
- Assist with implementation of new tax policies, strategies and procedures and
other cross-functional initiatives
Required Experience
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or Finance required; CPA preferred; advanced
degree a plus
- Minimum 3-5 years of indirect tax experience in public accounting and/or
large multinational corporate tax department, with an in depth understanding
of indirect tax laws and systems.
- Proficient in performing technical research and preparing audit ready
documentation of conclusions reached
- Experience with SAP S/4HANA a plus
