- As part of Caterpillar's Trade Center of Excellence (TCOE), you'll serve as a
- trusted business partner, working closely with stakeholders to understand
- customer needs, provide expert guidance on trade matters, and embed compliance
- principles into the foundation of our business operations.

What You Will Do
- Develop and execute risk assessments of Export Control and Trade compliance
programs to ensure adherence to established policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with in-region Business Divisions, Compliance teams, and Legal
teams to provide strategic and operational support for global trade
management at Caterpillar
- Support the development, implementation and maintenance of Export Control and
Trade compliance policies and procedures
- Provide training on government laws, rules and regulations as they pertain to
organizational products, services and technologies
- Proactively monitor, manage and mitigate risks through stakeholders, business
partner engagement.
- Assist with development and implementation of compliance strategies and goals
in line with company's business objectives
- Effectively communicate insights, progress, and recommendations across the
organization as needed
What You Will Bring
- International Trade: Knowledge of the markets, issues, regulations, practices
and operations of international trade; ability to apply this knowledge
appropriately in diverse situations.
- Relationship Management: Knowledge of relationship and stakeholder management
techniques; ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships
with various stakeholders, peers within the division and across Caterpillar
- Analytical Thinking: Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective
analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and
create alternative solutions that resolve these problems.
- Problem Solving: Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing,
anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems;
ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse
situations.
- Effective Communications: Understanding effective communication concepts,
tools, and techniques and the ability to collaborate vertically and
horizontally, across levels and various business functions, and with external
parties
Top Candidates Will Have
- Minimum 15+ years’ experience with trade compliance or a related field
- Demonstrated business partnering, advocacy, and acumen with strong
intellectual curiosity
- Development and/or management of trade compliance processes
- Experience building, implementing, or enhancing compliance programs and
operational controls in a multi-national business environment
- Proven ability to lead, influence, and build trust with stakeholders at all
organizational levels
- Strategic thinker who thrives in ambiguity and develops innovative solutions
to complex regulatory challenges
